Found some more information that was too off-topic to put in the wiki article, but I felt like it was noteworthy enough to point out.
From the same source as the archived press release: "...I've been authorized to reveal that AAM features recently restored footage from a rare, long thought to be lost 40's shocker, Kill, Robot, Kill!, in a sort of film-within-the-film device."
I can't find any information on Kill, Robot, Kill!; However, this source has proven to be reliable, and since a TV set is featured heavily in pre-production photos for the film, I believe this claim holds some credibility.
All of the posters mention a company called Abominable Entertainment. There's little to no information on them, although they do have a YouTube channel.
But this capture from 2007 mentions a company called Serial Filmmakers Ink. Maybe they switched distributors? Or they changed names... it's very strange.
I was thinking there was a possibility we could contact someone from Abominable Entertainment, but I'm almost certain that Tony Hooper is the only person who has a copy of the film.

I think contacting someone from either company would be worth a shot. It's possible they may have some new footage and information, even if it's not the full movie.
Bill buying the rights to Chop Top would be interesting. Could possibly lead to an attempt to release this film, or a new film starring Chop Top.
I've found some more news. I believe someone may have sold a copy of the film back in 2013. The seller bought a storage locker from Eric Lasher, a cinematographer who worked on the film. You can find the two archived listings here and here.

Since Tobe passed away a few years ago, I'm wondering if this means that it's up to his estate to decide if they want to release it - assuming he has a copy.

The fact that the 35mm of the film were sold worries me. Mainly if it was bought by a private collector which would suck as they most likely wouldn't release it.
The snippet of the film gives me hope that at least some form of it still exists though, possibly digitally or on a VHS somewhere.

I’m in the process of trying to contact the eBay seller who sold the tapes to see if they can provide any more information, although I don’t think they can tell me who bought the footage as that’s against eBay’s policies. It’s not like they would remember anyway, considering this eBay auction was almost 7 years ago. But any and all new information would be vital to finding this film, so I’m hoping they’ll respond.
Okay, some more news: It sounds like the film was NOT finished. *warning for a NSFW link: describes one of the films deaths in detail* A few scenes were missing from the final film, and this could explain why it was never released to the public. Also goes into detail about how Leatherface was played by two actors: Buckethead, and the person being interviewed. I can only assume the person who wrote this is Bill Moseley, however since some pages are omitted, I don't know for sure.
Okay, well... this came to sort of an upsetting conclusion.
The unofficial All American Massacre Instagram page that was documenting interviews and posting behind the scenes photos deleted ALL of their posts, and posted an update just a few minutes ago saying that for reasons they can’t make public, they are no longer continuing the account.
I can only assume something happened involving legal issues???

Man, that sucks. I hope the rights issues can be worked out in the future.

I hope so. Greg Herger, an actor who worked on the film, commented on his post saying how upset he was that he was leaving, which made me even more confused.
