Speaking of things that scared us as kids, this was some bullshit:
Error screens always used to scare me and this is one of the worst. It's like a demon has possessed you PS2 is is keeping it from reading discs. I would actually get nightmares of either real life erroring out or games becoming sentient (actually scared me off Crash Bandicoot for a long time).
Do you think DVD will be as highly regarded in the future as VHS is now? I doubt it.
Prolly. Everyone goes on about how "oh the 2000s and 2010s ain't ever gonna be seen as good as the 90s, etc, but I open up a youtube video of some 2000s or even early 2010s content, and I see people going on and on about how it was "the good old days". And, as a '00s kids, iM ok with that.
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
The title screen song to The Legendary Starfy. I played this game so much as a kid and this song brings back so many memories. Heck, most of the songs in TLS bring back memories, but this one more than the others

I think it will, and in greater force, as not only will they likely last longer than VHS, they are more durable in strength if not how slow they may or may not age. VHS can have tapes rip up and tangle, and use multiple mechanical parts, while a disk just gets scratched. I guess you can't shred a VHS without dismantling it, though.
