Upcoming "Monster Trucks" Movie (Potential Lost Footage)

Hey guys I'm new here but I have nothing better to do at the moment and feel like opening up a discussion on this... I guess something to keep in mind before this eventually comes out on dvd/blu-ray?
Monster Truck is this kid's film that's coming out in 2017. Looks sorta low-budget but seems like average-harmless-campy-fun that average young moviegoers might enjoy.

But I didn't find out about this film on Youtube. Nope, I actually found out through wannabeanimator's tumblr, who provided information on the film's delay with a comment from an anonymous crew member who had previously worked on the film:

Goddamn. I really wanna see what that horrifying thing looks like now. But, a part of me doubts that they'll put the footage of that disaster in the extras section of the dvd/blu-ray release. I mean, I just don't think the suits would allow that at the risk of similar complaints happening and loss of sales. And whoever modeled and/or animated the monster probably wouldn't insert the original in an online demo reel as it could hurt their resume and, again, the movie's reputation.
In the meantime, let's just cross our fingers and friggin' HOPE. That new monster look is so run-of-the-mill.
