I'm probably not the one you guys want to hear saying this, but I've kinda come to the conclusion that the movie probably never existed.
While it's possible the kickstarter is just late....Lorenzo seems like a smart business man (he has 6 houses and hasn't been caught yet.....), and he acknowledged ADWSS' popularity when we called him the first time. Don't you think he would have gotten RIGHT on top of posting that when we brought it to his attention?
Plus I've always speculated that he just said he'd post it to kickstarter to get us off his back, and not because he actually had plans to which he originally said. "We were going to..."- no you weren't, it didn't even cross your mind until we mentioned it and it was a lie that you said you were going to.
I'm really skeptical at this point and unless someone can prove me wrong I don't believe he'll ever post it because it probably doesn't exist. I just don't have any trust left to put in him.
I'm also thinking this is the case. It's unfortunate, really, since it's more or less months upon months of time going down the drain.
Even though we'll never get the script (that we know exists)- at least finding out there was nothing visually made is better than continuously thinking that something was, and then we keep circling ourselves with phone numbers and theories and whatnot.
For the record, I don't want to be a downer, but honestly I need more than Lorenzo's word now to believe he's going to remake ADWSS, or that the original even existed at all.

I don't know, it seems a bit early to state the evidence has concreted itself either way. It's hard for me to believe that a movie that doesn't even exist could ever gain this much traction. - I mean how does one explain all the weird claims and website listings? It just doesn't add up. I think its a little early to infer much from the kickstarter (or rather lack of) at this moment.
Not trying to toot my own horn sputnick and I don't recall exactly when you started following the search, but I've been following it since March of last year, and after the kickstarter fail I really don't see any way the movie could be real (or at least there's a very high chance of it being fake-- more than there was before).
The reason the listing was found all over the internet was because of Amazon. Different websites pulled the ADWSS listing directly from Amazon and just pasted it all over different sites. So pretty much- Amazon never got any stock = all the copycat sites never got any in stock.
And I think we came to the conclusion that the Amazon listing was simply put up well ahead of when it should have been- so pretty much Reagal thought they were going to make the movie, and they never did. Because at the very least, a script was confirmed to exist, so it's likely they were going to make it and then just never did.
I gave Lorenzo the benefit of the doubt and again, he might just be late on it, but I find it highly unlikely considering in the original calls, it sounded like they were already going to do a kickstarter for it because they've heard so much about it's popularity, which, I found hard to believe- and this further proves it. Plus, Lorenzo is a smart businessman as strange as that is to say, so he should KNOW that putting a listing up for this movie would at the very least bring renewed attention to his film companies. And for him to not do that is a really stupid move that I don't think he would make if the movie did exist. All he'd have to do is make a quick write up, and post a pic of the poster and let everyone else do the rest. But what I bet happened, is Lorenzo said "crap, I just said I'd do a kickstarter and all we ever did was write a script....I have no material to actually recreate the movie" because the movie was probably never made to begin with, and he doesn't want to concern himself with creating something totally new from only an old script.
And don't you think it's weird how Lorenzo didn't have a copy considering he made it himself? But somehow promo copies exist (which doesn't even make a whole lot of sense)? MVD said the same thing, and I'm convinced they don't even really know what ADWSS is, so it's probably one in the same to say "some may have slipped out".
A lot of this was just a ramble because I kinda miss typing huge responses on this topic like I used to, so I'm not trying to 1up you or anything sputnick. I just think it's more likely than not he's been lying, and I typed an overly long response about it : )
Y'know guys, Robbie is right. I've been here for a while and seeing this lack of progress, all these fake outs, the fact that the movie "only seemed to exist in promo copies" (which I personally don't believe) really has me believing the thing isn't real. While one of my main priorities in life for the past year was to help you guys find ADWSS, I think that I'm gonna focus more on something else. Business sure isn't done here but I'm gonna personally focus on something new, like Pokemon Live. I'll be here the most I can but I think it's time we accept the movie just might not exist. Lorenzo call is still on for Friday (heads up, we called him today and got voicemail).

I agree. I'll be here until the bitter end, but at the same time, I'm going to try to track down the Saban Pilot to Bio-Man with the leads I have when I can make time for it. I'll still check up on a daily basis to see if there's been any major developments. As always, happy hunting and if anyone's interested, join me in the Bio-Man search and I'll follow and help you all in wherever I can.
That all makes sense. I did not know the listings were copied from Amazon and now that you mention it the fact that he doesn't own a tape does not bode well. Thanks for the info. P.S. FTR I was never part of the "search" but have been following this for quite a while
Two things are that he said he "believed" the Kickstarter would be released in June, so give him some leeway (sadly his life doesn't revolve around ADWS like us ), and he said the movie was out for a short period of time, fwiw.
at this point i think the search for the movie would make a better movie than the actual movie
Yeah, I think A Day with Lorenzo Holley would be the better movie: A Lost Media Wiki user wins a trip to spend the day with Lorenzo Holley, but things don't go quite as planned as they get shot...
Sometimes it just feels like we should let this one go cause someone's gonna get shot over it.

I've got some thoughts on Lorenzo Holley and ADWSS.
I remember running his name through a series of background checking sites and yes there were some traffic violations in there, but there were over 200 court documents relating to this guy and yes he was arrested.
I'm not convinced that he was arrested for traffic violations because under Georgia law and this also applies in most U.S states and Canadian provinces, "If you're a first time offender (which is what Lorenzo is based on being arrested once) your record is accusable to the public. You have to be a repeat offender in order for your record to be made public on these types of sites. So Lorenzo was arrested for something, but we still don't know for what because his arrest record and why he was arrested wouldn't be public knowledge.
I was listening to the recorded calls you guys made and it sounded like he was kind of lying on his feet, or lying on the spot, but this is just me thinking aloud. I've had a few students who've come up with bullshit on the spot.
Now we don't know if he's lying, but we shouldn't rule it out. He could've been just trying to cover his ass because we pushed him into a corner. And we did give him time to call back in one of the many calls to explain ADWSS to us so in that time, it's possible that he came up with bullshit.
As for the films existence, I don't think we'll ever know if the OG film ever existed or not. I hate to say this but only time will tell. How much time? Who knows. Something big could happen tomorrow for all I know. The search for this film is and always has been like a loop. Going round and round starting off where we were before hand. I think this search won't end because it's scientifically impossible for this thing to end. It's a movement that will outlast the original search party weather we stay or not. Until something solid is found, this search will not stop.
So in the end, the search goes on.
Happy hunting and let's find this piece of shit weather it takes months or years.
My only problem with him is the fact that if he DID lie, why he did it. He could've easily said "Stop calling me, the movie doesn't exist", but instead, he was cooperative and said he there was gonna be a kickstarter and a bunch of other bullshit. I think he lied right on the spot, but I wasn't there for the calls (although I wish I was) so I can't say much.
I think we should just close up shop. The search is physically impossible as the existence is hard to find. If we continue now, we will get nowhere. If you think people say "oh, I have a copy of ADWSS, I can just send it to you via email", it's likely a troll, a myth. It was planned but never released. No more.
Well, it was certainly a interesting run, with lots of twists, turns, and suspense, and it gave the lost media community a little more traction for a while, but it's time to focus on other things.
