The $3,000 part was the amount of money that someone allegedly listed the DVD for on Amazon; this information comes from an SBMania forum post back in 2013 and was long before this topic got any attention.
And like you just confirmed, the first review hadn't even been posted yet, so it's a mystery why someone would fake a listing for a movie no one cared about. And that raises flags for me.
I don't think someone would pay $3,000 dollars just to get a fake movie listing on Amazon.

I'm going to try to find Reagal Film's phone number. Also, their website confirms that Riley T Martkowitz is Lorenzo's actual name. Pretty weird that he goes by 2 names.
The movie was listed with a price tag of $3,000- like someone could buyit for that much.
I have no idea how much money it costs for things to be listed on Amazon.
And honestly I have a lot of doubts that the listing is a straight up hoax. This was 2 years before anyone even knew what ADWSS was, and with a pricetag of a few grand, the person who had it must have known what it was in some sense.
Let's be honest. If "promo" copies are rumored to exist, Lorenzo could have been tight on money in 2013 and listed a copy for a ridiculous amount hoping that an SB collector would bite.
Earlier on in the search, it would have been fun to speculate that Lorenzo purposely canceled the movie in hopes to make it a desired collector's item, but at this point in the search I doubt that's the case.

So, exactly how much progress has been made on finding this movie? Did anyone ever get into contact with that Lorenzo guy? (Sorry if these sound like stupid questions. I've been mostly hanging around the other Lost Media Wiki.)

Ik the page is archived, but I wonder if the person who stated that still has any online presence...Just curious.

In some senses, we haven't made much progress at all. We've gathered quite a bit of information about the movie, but we are still seemingly infinitely far away from finding it. And no, we never got into contact with Lorenzo. We got his phone number, but he never picked up.
I don't think Reagal's answered any of our calls. How much info do we have on Riley?
I had attempted to look on Yae! Organic's website in hopes to find Reagal's number, but it wasn't listed. I couldn't find it on Reagal's archived website either. Does anyone have the number? I want to try to get in contact with them for the hell of it about ADWSS.

I have quite a few numbers. However I doubt you are going to get anything from them. Any if all numbers associated with Lorenzo/Riley are disconnected or something like that. Any other major numbers, such as that of Jason Boritz are real, but he will blatantly deny it as soon as the word "Reagal" comes out of your mouth, despite evidence pointing other wise. However there was one which I found incredibly heart wrenching to me,I could tell this person was hiding something that they clearly regret. One of the script managers (I think that's the name of the position?) As soon as we ask him about his association with Reagal,he stopped for a few seconds. This was before he started going into complete hysterics and denying it, as if he was going to get in trouble if we knew about his association. He told us uncomfortably to never call again and hung up. I've thought about calling Jason for a while and giving him a piece of my mind. However, Illness, anxiety and telephobia are stopping me from doing so at the moment

What was so bad about Reagal that would cause someone to react like that?
I honestly don't know. Could be something very dark. However I have other theories. One main one being some form of assorted Mental illness. Allow me to explain. You guys probably don't know this, but with anxiety, depression and a form of bipolar disorder, I am not the most sane person on the planet. If I were to do something bad and then be asked about it 4-5 years later with great seriousness , unknowing of what will happen if I tell them what actually happened, I'd probably react the same exact way. That's my only explanation for his bizzare behavior. If he didn't feel does sired by the situation,it could be possible he hasn't practiced what he'd say in a situation like this and panicked.

I get what you mean with the practicing thing. I sometimes do that days in advance. I like to know every possible way that the person could react. I definitely don't talk to myself when I have nothing better to do. That would be weird, much like the spelling of the word. I might have something mild, but it's too much effort to find out what. Anyway, if Reagal's doing dark stuff, then I'm interested.

Same.I honestly doubt we will ever find the movie though :,(

This search is sounding more and more like a horror movie every day.
