Hello everyone. This is my first post here, so I'm sorry if I do something stupid.
Mario Forever is a Mario fangame made by Buziol Games (now called Softendo) in 2003. Many people played it in the 2000s (and many people also remember the toolbar that came with it, but that's another story). For most people it was one of the versions in the range between 2.16 and 4.1, but there were earlier versions. A few years ago, someone found version 1.16.1 on a Polish software website. However, there is more. This page has a changelog to 1.16.1 from presumably 1.16. The MF Wiki page also has info on Mario Forever 1.15, but I asked Mariovariable3410 (forum admin and probably the person who added the info on the wiki) about any proof of it being ever released, and he said: "I honestly don't know, There's almost no info about this version. I remember that I've read something about it in Buziol Games' old website with the wayback machine, but I'm not that sure anymore about it.
"
The only hope is Softendo himself. Previously, he said that there are CDs in his attic that might contain MF 1.16, but he is very busy. However, it was announced that Softendo will make a big comeback in February, so maybe he will go through the CDs later this month as well. But there's no guarantee that MF 1.16 is on one of the them, and even if it is, Softendo might still not have time for that, as there are a lot of CDs.
So, overall, there is 1.15, which might've been never released, and 1.16, which was most likely released, but was lost.
I attached what might be a screenshot of version 1.16, and, for comparison, a screenshot of 1.16.1. As you can see, World 2-2 in 1.16 doesn't have a question mark block at the beginning, while in 1.16.1 and onward it does.
