So my brother brough this up the other day and it's been bothering me. He recalls a comic where the main characters went into a big red robot's brain to find out why it was angry. He also remembers a bald, green faced mad scientest that was the main antagonist.
I remember this as well and recall a grey cat. I think it is from Owl Magazine, as we had a subscription to that from around 2007-2010.
I suspect it might be from a series of comics within the magazine called "Sidesteppers" which was about a girl and her shape shifting cat going to different dimensions.
However the problem is according to this reddit post from a few years back, this is the only photo that exists of the comic online.

It is extremely rare and I can't seem to find any issues from that time period available to purchase to prove wether or not this is the same comic.
Unfortunately we were kids when we had ours and all of them were destoryed and thrown away long ago. Does anyone have any more info on this or recall this paticular story?
