I remember in 1997 my teacher had a book on tape about thunderstorms and how they develop. I distinctly remember an old man at the beginning looking up at the cumulonimbus clouds and saying “Looks like we got a bit of weather heading our way!!!” The female narrator went on to talk about water vapor that rises up, and the damage from lightning. (“… It could start fires in houses or barns, it could knock down trees and telephone poles.”)
I can still hear the narration in my head, and the music in the background. I can’t find this book anywhere and I loved it. I also asked on Reddit 2 years ago … not one response. I know it exists because I remember one of the special Ed kids in 8th or 9th grade said the EXACT same quote as that old man at the beginning, so that book on tape was likely in his classroom.
anyone know which book? I’ve been looking for years. It’s gotta be on YouTube.
