Do not make posts like this in the future. You can't just come in here and ask others to help buy something without explaining why it matters and then complaining when nobody responds. It's even worse when someone suggested going to another community that may be more helpful and you refused without even a thought. Most people are are average joes with just about as much money as you. Why would anyone want to spend 50 dollars on a CD just because you asked?

I don't see how making a throwaway reddit account would've been hard. If you want something done and you are perfectly capable, why not do it yourself? I don't mean buying it, I mean the asking around. Because you don't "like" reddit? I don't like twitter, but I'd still make an account if it meant a better chance at preserving/obtaining lost media. Heck, I made an Instagram purely to record a IG Live in case it didn't get archived. It's like how I see so many people saying they want to ask people on 4chan something but "they don't like 4chan" or "are scared of 4chan." Like brother... the people on /co/ and /mu/ are not going to kill you lol. They're nerds too.

Ziggy, Strongfox, and Cashew are correct.
Expecting random people to just buy an album on a whim is expecting a lot, especially one you don't seem to have a ton of knowledge on to know its value or rarity. That's your loss and the fact our advice and disclaimers got brushed off because you "don't like reddit" is a giant shame and that missed opportunity is on you. Also, the other sub that came up, r/helpmefind would have been 100% irrelevant anyway. It is for helping you find things, not getting them off active eBay auctions. Other subs could have helped. I take it none of our suggestions to ask music genre subs or even ones related to the Boston area were taken seriously either. Instagram. Facebook groups. Message boards. There are options out there and just brushing them off can come off as borderline laziness and low effort.
But as you can hear, it suffers heavily from disc rot - in particular, the first track got hit hard,to the point where there's barely a song to be heard. Disc rot isn't too uncommon in CDrs, really, especially ones that are over twenty years old now. I even have another rotted CDr, this time from 2002 (though I have several from 2000 that still play perfectly fine).
And before anyone says anything, no, I didn't buy this forty-one dollar disc just because of this post. One of Fashioncolt's songs, Transmit Her, blew up a little in the Lostwave community a couple months back when it was briefly unknown, and I became interested in hearing what else they had made. I saw a few other people were interested as well. Too bad the songs are in such poor quality.

honestly, better than nothing! still trying to find the actual band members somehow, as they probably still have masters somewhere

Oooooohhhhhh, that sucks. One of the PS1 games I have, Pac-Man World, might also suffer from disc rot as well alongside the usual scratches because kids could not take care of their games properly.
Dreams are boundless, imaginations are infinite, space is a multi-directional spiral & Akazukin ChaCha is my favorite anime
Hi all, so a quick update on this, I managed to get in contact with a member of the band, and then he contacted the others, and now I'm waiting for a response
