Everyone assuming digital rot happens to everything is extremely funny. Not everything that is digital glitches or gets corrupted. Think about it, there are stuff in hardrives from the 70's that are still around and nothing bad happened to the files. Don't just assume the worst.

The Doctor Who 1965 Christmas special "Feast of Steven". Aired once for, you guessed it, Christmas, and was then wiped off the face of the earth once the BBC wiped the original master for reuse. No other copies were made since it would've been sent to other countries too late, and some countries just don't celebrate Christmas. There MIGHT be a chance that someone telerecorded it, but it's highly unlikely.
This makes me think, what even was the first ever Telerecording device ever invented? The earliest one I can think of is Cartrivision, which came out in '72.

There has probably been some telerecordings from the 1960-1970s uploaded and written off as a bad remake/imitation of the real thing just because of the poor quality.
I really hope that hasn't happened, but considering how some lost media's been found, it probably has at least one time (With telerecordings generally, not just TFOS).

It's technically not "lost" media, but playable builds of Bully II, and really anything pertaining to that game.
To those that don't know Bully was Rockstar's teen-friendly game; it's a free-roam game similar to Grand Theft Auto where you can go around the school and town and do rebellious teen stuff. It was a damn good game, albeit very controversial (though honestly, it was mostly overblown).
Fans have wanted a sequel to the game because it was so unique, but there was never a confirmation it was being made. However, some content leaked for it years back (2016); it was mostly concept art, but an entire build of a town that would've been used for the map leaked (it used GTA IV/V assets). Most recently Bully II's code leaked as part of the GTA V source code leak, however it's most likely cancelled.
Which sucks because from what we know, it would've been a great game. Not many games let you play in a high school and explore the world through a teenager's eyes without it being dumbed down.
The game was cancelled 3 times. With the way Rockstar/Take Two is going, I doubt we'll ever see it released.
Then there's the cut content for Mafia II which is another rabbit hole. 4 hours of content were cut from that game, including free roam modes and storyline choices. Once again though, Take Two doesn't seem very interested in remaking Mafia II and bringing all the old content back, so it's a big "what if" in gaming.

Yeah I saw some interesting videos about Mafia 2, seems like one impressive scripted explosion in a garage shown during a trailer got moved over to the "Joe's Adventures" DLC.
Wasn't aware of storyline choices being cut though, the ending to that game did feel abrupt, was it originally supposed to be longer and were you given a choice to save Joe or not?

Alternately it could refer to a very cumbersome process of making a home kinescope of off air TV which involved placing a film camera in front of of the telly and not actually letting you watch it while it was on. The CBC supposedly received all of the first series of Doctor Who on film - it's unknown whether they have that still or not.
The first home videotape device was the Sony CV 2000, released circa 1965 for $1000 and tape for like $40 for an hour. Radiomom saw what she called a reel to reel VIDEOTAPE recorder at a house party between 1970-72, and I have reason to believe it's this due to the amount of home video on this format that's come out of the Metro Detroit area. (A few people, notably Ed Sullivan, had videotape devices installed in their homes earlier, but these took up the better part of entire rooms.)
I've also seen uploads on Youtube of stuff that's thought to have been officially lost from before then, from the UK and Ireland, labelled as Telcans. What was Telcan?

While we could still find these one day, downloads of the Australian soft-launch & US beta builds of Scopely's Wheel of Fortune mobile game from 2015 are REALLY lost, with all that remain from those builds being video footage, reviews, and changelogs.

So this is one I haven't told anyone else. Back in 2013, I was really into dubstep/drum and bass remixes. There was a DnB remix of Nina's "99 Luftballoons" by the Czech DnB artist Gwenwyd. Unfortunately, this artist deleted all their work off their YouTube channel (though it's still active and has plenty of underground DnB content, but hasn't uploaded in 6 years).
What's funny is that I've had that song on my Google Drive for a very long time. I downloaded that remix because I really liked it and listened to it on my iPod. I kinda forgot about it but made sure it was archived in case I wanted to go back to it. So, I might be the only person on Earth (other than the guy that remixed it to begin with) in possession of that remix.
