Nah, I think if I liked the rest of the show/game/whatever that a bad ending won't ruin it for me. but I am also amused by literally anything so I think something has to be truly god-awful for me to hate it XD
If Futurama ended on this current season I'd consider it a bad end though. I really, really wish they would just stop making new seasons.

Not me I think the show is still pretty damn good and i'm excited for next season.
I would say endings that render the entire rest of the product "useless/worthless/waste of time" can ruin said product for me personally. I know life (and people) aren't always linear, but still. Earwig and the Witch from Studio Ghibli strikes me as an example-she's a manipulative brat at the beginning and a manipulative brat at the ending, no matter how much they try to play up her "growth."
I was not a fan of the Disney Star Wars sequels but I did feel like the first 2 did feel like they were attempting to try to build off the lore. However, Rise of Skywalker was just horrible. It really feels like they were trying to fit Star Wars into the Marvel mold and it just doesn't work for me. I think the twist at the end is just stupid and lazy. And yeah, it did end up souring the other two films.
Other note, I am also annoyed that the film had prolonged scenes of strobe lights to cover up bad CGI. However, this becomes a huge health risk for people who are photosensitive and have epilepsy. I was unable to watch huge chunks of the film because of this.
I'd also rather have a "just decent" or "okay, well" ending than forcing the franchise to continue in those "baby" TV show sequels, like Megamind and the Megamind TV series "sequel" and that mediocre How to Train Your Dragon "Realms" TV show.

I honestly don't get the hate for ROS, i'm with Moviebob in finding a perfectly good film. Didn't feel like they were trying to imitate Marvel to me at all, I liked the twist personally.
I will say I did get this feeling with Clerks 3 which I feel really ruined the previous two films due to unnecessarily fridging a character in what feels like a cheap and lazy attempt at melodrama, Part 3 has it's funny moments but as it whole it feels way too depressing and up it's own ass, makes me wonder if it would've been any good had Kevin Smith not had a heart attack(as that apparently inspired the plot he came up with).
tbh it doesnt really matter, because to me, bad endings could be like "yeah it doesnt exist and it was just a fake [insert something] but atleast we know its fake"
Hi Im Red! Nice to meet you! I Rarely search for lost media but when i do i dont do anything noticeable but i atleast do something, I am making a web series [CANCLED TILL LATE 2024-2025 FOR CONTINUATION]
I say yes. One example that comes to mind was back when I was in the Wimpy Kid fandom. I loved wrecking ball, but the ending is pretty bad (Greg's house gets destroyed suddenly in a really rushed out of nowhere way). Many people express disliking the book and considering it one of the worst Wimpy Kid books, when really the only thing that makes it bad is the ending.
It depends, if the ending is absolutely dog water and completely discards the build up of a piece of media, then it does. But if it’s just underwhelming then normally it doesn’t ruin the media, just makes the viewer a little dissatisfied and disappointed.
