If a game is only fun to you with mods, you're the issue and not the game or developer.
Bruh that's a real spicy take LMAO. Like, I love playing the original games, but modding is fun too. Maybe I'm misinterpreting this, but this sounds like a "stop having fun guys" moment. Also if the game just sucks then improvement mods would be appreciated to at least polish it up. Besides, it's not just a developer problem. A publisher can easily put the developers through HELL, whether a time crunch or too much executive meddling that can result in a bad game. Superman 64had a ton of meddling that DC Comics pushed onto Titus.
