Hearing my thread offering to moderate off-topic got forwarded to the admins has me excited but nervous. Someone also said they get a "weird vibe" from me and that hurt my feelings a little.

It feels like I'm going backwards in time. First, I started playing 80s and 90s commercials on YouTube as background noise, then stopped using social media, going back to bulletin boards online, I've disabled/blocked clickbait articles, and now I'm considering getting me a Walkman and getting me some music tapes. I would switch to a flip phone, but I need it for a lot of essential things like clocking-in and out from work. I've been in a retro mood lately.

So I have become convinced that I'm the kiss of death when it comes to technology. My first labtop I had back in the late 2000's/2010's got infected with a virus when I was using Plato learning site for school and after the virus was removed, it still went down in quality and became very slow. My first Samsung phone that I had in 2022 overheated after I moved a bunch of files into an SD card, and a tablet that I have won't respond to touch on the two longer sides of the screen, so I had that brought in to a repair shop and they said they couldn't do anything about it. Why do I have such bad luck modern day electronics?

Also I had an older model Xbox 360 that worked for over a decade before it got the red ring of death and it stopped working altogether.

Am I the only one here who has wondered what a lot of inanimate objects think about us? A lot of the food could be scared of us, the chairs probably find us annoying, the umbrellas may feel like they're in pain when you pull them into rain protection mode, etc.
