Back in the 90s, I used to ignore or avoid TV commercials. Now I watch them on YouTube and find them relaxing. Feels like a totally different world than today!
Pretty interesting. I'm part of Gen Z, so watching TV commercials was pretty much a norm for little me. At least those advertisements were quite amusing. I find advertisements before the 2000s pretty relaxing as well. I'm generally just very curious about stuff way before my generation.

I never really cared for commercials and still don't, in the 2000s I eventually started muting the TV whenever they came on and once I stopped watching live TV I got annoyed by ads constantly breaking videos I watched online so I started using Adblock and never used back. For instances on streaming services where I can't use Adblock I mute the ads and go to another tab and watch something else until the ads are done playing.

Fair, honestly. I find myself using adblock as well because ads can be incredibly annoying, especially on sites like YouTube. I only have it off for sites that really don't want me to use adblock.

I only turn it off for sites that you cannot see without Adblock. Some sites were practically unusable without Adblock(looking at you Cracked)so I don't trust websites not to screw me over with ads.

I ate some pop tarts that my brother made. I ate only half of one(there were 2) before I said "You know what, nope.". Then again, they were a week old, but they were also in a ziplock bag, so I have no idea if it would've tasted better before. I commend him for making it & I don't think he intended such a taste, but it just felt strange.
The taste of the one was not a good one, kinda felt like corn flakes, but with a weird mix of what felt like melted fruits. So, basically they were like an expired wildberry pop tart(which don't seem to be an official thing as I only ever see knockoffs doing that flavor). But that was just the beginning. The aftertaste was a whole other experience entirely.
Here's how I would describe the aftertaste: It's like some weird piece of wood that's been grilled, then topped with a deep fried Oreo cookie that has mercury instead of the usual white filling such cookies tend to have. It then gets covered with Ruffles dust, 15 benadryls & rubber. How does one even manage to make such an aftertaste, I have no idea, but... it was an experience.
Dreams are boundless, imaginations are infinite, space is a multi-directional spiral & Akazukin ChaCha is my favorite anime

I like watching the commercials from my childhood (2000s) but I also like to compare them to those of different decades

It took a year of searching but thankfully I found a replacement. I still take the broken one around with me so as not to risk the other one getting damaged.

My favorite time period of commercials are from around 1983 to 1997. It's refreshing not to hear anything about social media or stories about how a certain group felt offended by another person or group from both sides.
It wasn't perfect, but there was a sense of optimism (especially after the end of the Cold War) that the world was getting better as the new millennium approached.
A furry with eclectic tastes who loves the 80s and 90s. Mostly 1984-1992.

When I asked for help fixing it at the hardware store it seems they didn't think it's my toy because they said it isn't safe for a baby
I saw this ad on tv a few months ago. When I saw the kids and then the pregnant woman drinking what looked like beer, I thought it was gonna be a PSA saying something along the lines of "If you drink while pregnant, it's almost like having your own kids drink!", but nope. It's an ad for fancy water.
