I watched the Disney episodes of Doug before the Nicktoons era, and I actually preferred the Disney run! It felt a lot like Arthur, and it gave me a heavy dose of nostalgia watching it.
Same here, I think the half-hour format works better for Doug then the 11 minute one does and I prefer Doug and Roger's Disney VAs(nothing against Billy West but I felt like Doug's new VA gave him more personality)that show actually made an Arthur reference at one point(as some of the same writers worked on both shows).
I didn't know there were writers working on both shows! That's cool!
