I was just looking at my bootleg Dutch TMNT dub VHS, and noticed the label had been stuck over another label because they reused the tape, and the original video was "The Power of Estrogen", whatever it is, it seems like a very unusual combination.
Upon reading about them, "Cartoons R Fun" apparently were known to record over adult videos, so not such a shock my TMNT tape has been recorded over something with such a title. They were also known for their awful quality, edits, filters, not having enough tape to fit the full cartoon etc. Really crappy business.
Krypton Force was a UK based "distributor" of cartoons, but they were actually bootlegs. They used to dub over animes and retitle them to fool the BBFC into giving them a classification, and yes, the dubs are as bad as you can imagine, as well as the video quality. My particular tape is just some random public domain cartoons, but features a SUPER LONG "trailer" for one of their unlicensed anime dubs. It is also possibly the worst quality tape I own.
All of the tapes that have similar sleeves, but seemingly different companies, are all made by the same guy, who made bootlegs as well as public domain cartoon tapes in the late 80s. He did this, presumably, as a way to avoid being caught.
Since someone mentioned that other bootlegs could go here, I'll share my (dormant for the time being) collection.
Most of these aren't too interesting, but I love the cart designs like how some people love bootleg DVD cover designs. They all work as intended but I wouldn't be surprised if there were issues with saving. The multicarts are all repackaged licensed games. Pokemon Adventure is this and the Digimon one I believe is this. (I haven't played in a while since my gameboy broke.) Those are the only two "original" games of the collection.
I really like the designs for the game 999 in 1 and the 369 in 1 in particular. The tendency of bootleggers to just put "GAME" at the top of cartridges is fun as well.
A suspicious collection of Pokemon cards I found for a couple dollars at a discount shop. The quality is just awful and as you can see they were printed unevenly. They're all holographic as well. I like them.
I used to work at a store that sold these so I bought them whenever they got new ones with my discount. They contain a ton of stolen assets and really poor gameplay. I was surprised when they were being sold at major retailers. Each contain a number of games for hours of fun.
And finally I got this at a random store that had a bunch of these miscolored figures. I keep him with my plants.
I do not own any bootleg DVDs currently so I hope this wasn't too off topic.
Here are some other bootleg VHS tapes I have. The top one is that tape made by the shop in my town I mentioned. They even copied the WB label, but with really crappy print and used blue paper and prittstick, for some reason. Also, all of that damage and the stickers are actually all part of the print, so the rented tape they used had already been worn when they photocopied it.
The middle one is Bad Boys 2, and despite what streched out Will Smith will say, it's not a DVD, but actually a VHS bootleg of a DVD bootleg, with about 30 minutes of tape wasted with a still image of the bootleg DVD menu.
The last one is a relatively well made bootleg of the original Jumanji, it's specifically a bootleg of the Irish version, but I have no idea what the 12 RA rating is, I have never seen it.

I know that bootleg TMNT VHSes were commonplace in Russia & some parts of Eastern Europe(and I assume that they were also commonplace in Latin America as well), but the Netherlands as well!? Dang.

I should correct myself, it's actually TMHT, because it's the Hero Turtles instead of Ninja Turtles.

Well I mean, yeah, but it's still Ninja Turtles at the end of the day & by the time the 2003 incarnation rolled around, they finally started calling them ninjas.
I wanted to share a bootleg concert recording of a performance by The Waterboys in Cork City Hall, Cork, Ireland, in 1988. I cannot find any other recordings of this concert online, so I feel lucky that I have heard it, and it's in fantastic quality too. It just happens, to no surprise, that I found this cassette at a carboot sale in Cork.

Krypton Force actually used the Jim Terry dubs, even though they could have dubbed over them themselves to use the titles they gave them (as was the case with English dubs of Getter Robo G / Starvengers and Gaiking produced by FB Productions under the name "Robo Formers", which wouldn't really surprise me if these releases were also unlicensed).
Not really bootlegs, but i have lots of burned dvds that contain the same content as the oiginal dvd. It was probably done easily since most if not all dvds in Serbia don't have any copy protection.

I wish I could, but my newest computer is from 1998. I also don't have any amazing tape decks.
Bootleg Russian PS1 and PS2 games, fully translated and dubbed in Russian by professional voice actors. There are many of these because there were no official Russian translations of games at the time. The PS1 games "work" on both PAL and NTSC consoles, but I find they have massive slow down and colour issues, some times being in black and white or rainbow colours, and some times the games work flawlessly.
