I found what seems to be an FTP download link for a Chinese VCD release of Flushed Away. I'm unsure whether or not it would contain any of the missing scenes but it may be worth looking into. m.xiaopian.com/html/gndy/dyzz/20070720/4132.html

It seems like it's down.
This still isn't the way to go, I don't think.
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
I will be glad to send a link to my Little Mermaid workprint if anybody has a Reddit account.
Don’t publish it yet though. People want workprints that are rare, ones that aren’t easily accessible to the public. Any that have already been made available are deemed “worthless”.

I would just send a link on Google Drive thru a private message.
So I'd like to air on the side of scepticism when it comes to this claim; like others have said, I find it a little weird to imagine there being a leaked rough cut of this animated movie on a bootleg copy, do we have precedent for such a thing happening with animation?

I do know that a prototype of Sonic 2 on the Gennesis was stollen and popped up on bootleg copies.

I have seen it with music and videogames, as modwalletguy mentioned, it happened with sonic, as well as the Beatles first demo for Decca records, and Boston's first demo (which was allegedly found in a bin). I have seen it happen with movies and shows, in which bootlegs will have deleted scenes, the reason being the original cut would have been sent to a manufacturer, and specifically in china and hong kong, the factories would often make copies before the movie was released without the actual publisher knowing, so weird cuts of movies have ended up on bootleg DVDs and VCDs (and even laserdisc), but as for animation specifically, I don't know of any examples.
The reason I mentioned it in my initial thread start is because I have seen so many unrelated users make the same claim, which, in itself, seems like a strange lie to make, and would be highly unlikely so many people would propagate the same lie. Youtube comments and reddit comments from various users have made the same claim.
I would like to point out that nobody, so far, has tried to view any of the chinese bootlegs we have found.

Yeah, there are ones for sale online, but nobody bought them. Modwalletguy said he was going to, but must have forgotten since.
