part of me almost believes this was some publicity stunt to ease everyone's fears of AI. the posters were terrible, and i'm dying to see the scripts. safe to say we have a while before AI completely takes over. i do hope everyone is compensated, though, especially those poor, poor actors who had no idea what they were getting into.

They need to cast Crispin Glover to reprise his role as Willy Wonka, and have him be the villain here, since he was so great in Epic Movie (2007; I haven’t seen the film, but from the clips I saw, he’s great!)

The whole thing stank of Meow Wolf or the Harry Potter exhibition MINUS the super high production values and care/attention to detail. And yeah, the whole setting stank of "dingy warehouse" and "underfunded school attempt at a Willy Wonka festival." EDIT: Probably had particularly bad vibes at night

I would totally agree, but it looks like Hollywood is not involved and it’s just some indie horror slop. No doubt just trying to cash in on how much of a meme this whole train wreck became. They better get it out as quick as they can before everyone moves on and forgets it even happened. Who knows, maybe the movie will be AI generated just like the marketing material for the event was.
