And on lantern.mediahist.org I found an address for jewel productions, It may be long gone, but maybe some films are sitting in that buildings basement?
CHILDREN OF LONELINESS" Wm. G. Smith's Jewel Productions 1912 So. Vermont RO. 2205
It seemed to have played in Kansas City a lot. I think it was banned here in New York.

That reference actually gave me the idea to check the copyright database.
On Page 102, we have "Children of Lonliness; screen ada[ption] by Howard Bradford, wri[tten] and directed by Richard C. K[?, 4-5 characters missing]"
The text in the brackets is cut off by the edge of the page. The surname is not obvious.
Howard Bradford has an IMDB and it says that he wrote for a movie called The Third Sex where the director is also Richard C. Kahn. It also has the same ad as this movie. Are we sure this is not the movie we're looking for? www.imdb.com/title/tt0053353/?ref_=nm_knf_t1
Perfect! We also now have the entire cast, a release date and much more!
Let's hope this turns into something.
Cool! IMDB isn't always reliable, but this is something to look into. It is possible this might be a film with two names or two films that were mistakenly conflated.
It would be nice if we could figure out what newspaper or magazine (probably newspaper) the microform capture this image is from. They might have more information.

Well The Third Sex is someone who doesn't identify as male or female. That is probably why the alternate name is what it is.
Useful! Thanks.
Going back to the references found in Boxoffice, on Page 251 of July-September 1938, there's an article about a film called "Extacy" being deemed indecent in Portland, Oregon.
Now, let's break down 1912 So. Vermont RO. 2205 Los Angeles. Being Canadian, I interpreted the whole thing as a street address, "1912 South Vermont Road 2205 Los Angeles." That's wrong.
RO. 2205 is a phone number. This is proven by "Phone RO-9191" at the bottom of another advertisement.
"1912 So. Vermont" could be "1912 South Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles". It doesn't look like anything is in that building now, as far as I can tell.

Hey, anyone on the wiki who lives in LA, it might be a good idea to go flea market-ing right around now.

Oh yeah, the holiday markets would be open now.

From the looks of it on google maps, the building still stands, it looks old. I'll try to head over there sometime this week, just to see if I can find any remnants of this company.
And be on the lookout for films from this period with titles that sound very exploitation-y like "Perverted Love" or "The Lonely Sex" or what have you, we don't know how many different titles this film could have had.
