Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, WB claimed that the sales of DVDs of Golden Age cartoons aren't good enough to warrant the release of more Looney Tunes on DVD, Blu-Ray, or streaming.

Uh no it has nothing to with "PC" genius it's because WB does not want angry parents harassing them over it, and this isn't a new thing either, it happened back in the 90s when MGM(who still owned all of the pre-1948 Looney Tunes cartoons at the time)put out their Golden Age of Looney Tunes series which featured "Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips" a controversial WW2 cartoon known for it's offensive Japanese stereotypes, initially when it came out in Laserdisc it didn't get noticed but once it made it's way to VHS in the mid-90s Japanese-American groups started protesting it and eventually MGM didn't want to deal with the bad publicity anymore so they just recalled the offending tape(and the box-set that contained it)and re-issued the Laserdisc with a different cartoon instead.

Most people do in fact want this stuff "preserved" it's certainly not progressives asking for things to be censored if that's what you're thinking so spare me. The right are the ones "easily offended" by LGBTQ and non-white characters merely existing in the first place so don't get me started on that. I can't take anyone seriously that unironically uses the term "PC"(Which was actually first coined by that wackjob Pat Buchanan). Hell the Golden Collection DVDs have that intro with Whoopi Goldberg(who is very much left-leaning for the most part) explaining that though the stereotypes presented in some of the cartoons were wrong then and wrong now pretending that they never existed would be worse so I don't get how anybody is still ignorant enough to trot out that "PC" nonsense in regards to Looney Tunes.

Come to think of it, I have this tape in my basement somewhere, which for some bizarre reason has the similarly controversial Bugs Bunny cartoon Fresh Hare at the end, completely uncut (I know the ending is racist, but it's also kind of hilarious in the sense that it's a completely ridiculous non sequitur). WB eventually did crack down on the public domain tapes and DVDs(as the music used in the public domain shorts was still very much copyrighted). One of my tapes also had Fresh Hare uncensored(though some like Cartoon Explosion have the edited version) along with Jungle Jitters another censored 11 cartoon.

The Blu-ray set was called "All Censored" and the reason you can't find it is because the set is out of print. There is a Bosko Blu-ray out there titled "The (In)Complete Bosko Vol 1." I have that set and it's pretty nice.

What you said reminds me of a constant thought in my mind in the possibility of there being some long lost ultra obscure shows & movies from LGBT+ folks whose owners aren't thinking of releasing now because some crazies like the Daily Wire could find them & start complaining about them having LGBTQ characters in them.

I'm just imagining a couple of unheard of independently produced 2 dollar budget LGBTQ direct-to-video movies from like the 1980s-2000s that were released in extremely low quantities(as in less than 20 copies ever made) & were just put on sell in some random noname local stores, never to be heard of again. The people behind said movies would likely never be heard of again after a few movies because of fears that some alt-right crazies may discover them & start slamming their movies for having LGBTQ characters(though some movies probably have actual reasons to complain about them). Almost no one knows these & even among the ones who know, most of them likely don't remember them too well, if at all. They just showed up & quickly disappeared off the face of the Earth.

here's some pictures of my copy,

i didn't take pics of any of the shorts,
because a photo of a tv screen wouldn't show the proper quality anyway.

for the record this set just has the shorts on it in high quality,
but they are still the same ones as are floating around on the internet.
with that i mean, the same Blue Ribbon and or A.A.P logo copies.
