Every collection of credited names and/or company logos is effectively a time capsule. Every time you see the end credits for a movie, for instance, it's list of names of people who might not be working in film anymore, people who might not work for the same film company anymore, and possibly aren't even alive anymore. Similarly, company logos can also be frozen in time. The opening logos of a movie could include companies that straight up don't exist anymore.
And this same way of looking at it could be applied to TV and game credits, linear notes on an album, logos on a box for a broad game, ext. All these different things are records frozen in time.
Not only that, they can also include deleted roles from the movie that were filmed but cut, which could be the last remnants of those scenes, since the actual footage may have since become lost.

Those "spiritual successor" that used to be popular on Kickstarter like Mighty No. 9 and Yooka-Laylee are basically official-unofficial rip-offs. They're made by the same people who worked on the originals, and they made rip-offs of their own games because they don't work at the companies who own the original games anymore. They official, because, like I said, the people who worked on the original games worked on the "spiritual successors," and unofficial because they're not approved by the actual companies who own them. Sorta like how Lauryn Hill's MTV Unplugged album is the official unofficial 2nd Lauryn Hill solo album. And, they're rip-offs of Mega Man and Banjo-Kazooie respectively because, let's face it, they're just altered, regurgitated versions of established franchises.
Furthermore, there are also plan-old official rip-offs of things. Like, those 70s Hannah Barbara cartoons like Jabberjaw and shit, those are basically official Scooby Doo rip-offs, because Hannah Barbara also made Scooby Doo. Though, that can also just be thought of as Hannah Barbara trying to make lighting strike twice. And, ditto those Kickstarter games, I suppose.
When London after Midnight first released, the Thylacine/Tasmanian Tiger still existed (they went extinct only 80 years ago. Most extinct animals died out thousands of years ago.)

It's crazy to know how many recent extinctions have happened in these past few years aside from the thylacine and passenger pigeon. The golden toad was declared extinct in 2019, which was not every long ago, and it's not the first/last one to be extinct within these recent years.

You'll technically never be alone: If you're in a house, there are floors, ceilings, doors, tables, chairs, etc. that can keep you company. Even outside, you can be friends with the grass, rocks, mud, sand, trees, whatever else one can find outdoors. And of course, you can always be friends with your subconscious & if you're ESPECIALLY insane, you can be friends with some random objects.

This is how it is for me. I’ve known the Stick Twins and Peter the Plastic Bag for 16 years.
