If someone died before the invention of film and video, and their life wasn't significantly documented, does that mean their life is lost media?
Can ended lives in general be considered lost media?
If someone has a memory of something that happened in real life, and no one recorded, documented, and/or made any possible recording or documentation public, does that mean that moment in time that they remember is lost media?
I think it's then lost physical media for people who have died

We only have 2 minutes to live, but every time we breathe, it resets the timer. Unfortunately (or fortunately in certain other cases…), it can only be reset so many times.

I wondered why no animal has developed opposable ears. If elephants could evolve a nose that can be used as an arm, why can’t the same be said for ears?
I wonder how many items do we use on a regular basis that we don't realise we are using? Take Electret microphones for example. They are small and are used in many electronic devices that need a built in microphone such as a phone or device with voice activation etc... Many of us will use one at least once a day, yet how many of us even know or realise we are using them?
We often use cosmetic products like shampoo, soaps, makeup etc... but do we really know what all the ingredients in these products are before we use them? For example, if I said Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, would you have any clue what that is without looking it up? Probably not. Yet we still use these products when we are told they are safe, regardless if we know what all the ingredients are or not.
Are there any other animals besides us, that take different raw edible items and mix them together before eating them?
What if you're having the best day of your life and all of the sudden you wake up and you are somewhere else? What if the real world isn't actually real and it's your imagination?

If life’s a game and love is a price, then life is rigged.
When a modern incarnation of a long-running character sounds deeper than what we're used to, keep in mind that the character has been around for decades.
Everytime you lose a hair or something in the shower like, just think how long that hair has been with you over the years. That hair could've been with you the day you were born. You've been through everything together, now it's gone...
The whole "gamers don't die they respawn" thing can be seen as another form of samsara which is essentially a continuous cycle of life, death, and rebirth.
In regards to the topic of human lives and et cetera being lost media, if we were to base what is and isn't lost around the concept of solipsism.. would that not make everything aside from ourselves essentially unidentified media?
How about you? How will you live a life that faces death?
I wonder how much media there is out there that most of us are not aware of about which, on a daily or weekly, monthly etc... basis, gets lost for one reason or another? I mean media that is or was once accessible to the public like TV shows, movies, music, posters, books, games, promotional material for events etc... I am not counting media that is top secret, security risk, personal information etc...That the general public wasn't allowed and shouldn't have access too.
I wonder how many people have media that is considered lost, rare, unique etc... and don't even realise that the media they have is considered this way? I once had DVDs full of video clips of old cartoons, commercials, clips from old TV shows, TV show intros etc... that someone gave me and I no longer have them and often wondered if I potentially had any rare, lost or hard to find media on them.
Since we're almost constantly shedding skin cells, hair, and other bodily fluids, couldn't we be considered "different people" from how we started? Essentially just the Ship of Theseus but with people.
