Has anyone gotten any new leads at all yet or nah?
What we could really use is more attention to the search. We've proven time and time again that it's out there, someone just has to happen to find it. Of course the worse case scenario there is that there's nothing to do but wait until someone in the future rips a tape containing it.
I just wish we had a single frame.
EDIT: The potential things I can think to highlight:
1. The advertising agencies that could have made it (particularly DDB or Leo Burnett)
2. It likely aired during a primetime slot or during anything with a strong 18-49 demo
I’m pretty sure LSuperSonicQ is doing a lost commercials video at some point this year which should include YBD iirc, so that could draw attention

We recently added a bunch of new airings of the other ads to the doc thanks to someone in the LCF server, but other than that there's been no developments on YBD itself.
That's a good find, will have to expand the search into December then if this specific phase of the campaign was still running. I know there's at least one ad that we haven't included on the doc which started airing around November ("It doesn't come with a toy") but until now I considered that out of the timeframe for the "Defend Your Chicken" campaign.
Wikipedia says they introduced Chicken Selects briefly in 1998, then 2002 and 2003, before coming back as a permanent item in 2004.

Now that you mention it, HAS anyone contacted the advertisers yet, or am I forgetting? Even if we aren't positive as to made it for sure, it's never a bad idea to try all our leads, and that's probably the most likely way we'd find the ad.

I forget if it was in relation to this ad or a different one, but I remember someone emailed McDonald's themselves and they basically said they don't keep an archive + their international marketing wings can be quite nebulous in the first place.
It's unlikely that an ad agency would give out a copy either (especially if they're aware the ad is controversial) but an individual creative who worked on it would theoretically be a better option there. At the moment we don't really have credits for any of these though.
