In the 90s, my mom rented a tape from the library which featured a mascot bird character who sang. Think Abelardo from Plaza Sésamo. The video featured a music video where the bird sang and dance in front the a green screen. Meanwhile graphics of paper dolls would spin in the background
Almost like this. I don't remember if they had smiles or not.
I only remember one song and it was about friendship or togetherness or caring about others. It was a long song and sort of looped and repeated verses. To the point where even as a young child, I found it extremely annoying.
I know it was in English but maybe I am misremembering and it was a bilingual tape, English and Spanish. Or I am just confusing the mascot with Abelardo. Tho I am 100% certain it was not Plaza Sésamo.

Do you remember what the bird in this video looked like, was it anything like big bird from Sesame Street, I know the other international co productions of Sesame Street have their own big muppet that is just like Big Bird

Like I said, the bird reminded me of Abelardo from Plaza Sésamo, or Pino. So it was sort of parrot like with Multi-color feathers, not a solid color like Big Bird. The tape was definitely trying to channel Barney and Sesame Street, so for preschoolers. The backgrounds were old school 90s CGI.

The year was maybe mid 90s. 1995-1997-ish.
The tapes were rented in the US.
I see, I’ve been trying to find some videos like the one you’re talking about on Google but I’m not having any luck, is there anything else you remember from this video do you know what company released it on vhs?

I was like 7 or 8 when I watched it. Why would I remember the company??? I have tried to Google search myself with no luck. I made this post hoping to find anyone who also remembers it.

I see, I was just curious about if you’d remember the company because you could see if researching it would lead to finding this video

Do you remember how any of the songs in the video went or anything like that and like you mentioned about how it tried to channel Sesame Street and Barney, was it ripping off those shows or did it just feel like them while also trying to be its own thing
I guess she was a puppet (I was trying to remember something from 25 years ago, give me a break). Like I did remember she had legs and maybe that is why I misremembered it.

You were right about the song having repeated verses, the bird in this actually reminds me of that show Iris the happy professor aka professor Iris
