Every time one of us would hurt our knee in some way (ex:hitting it on coffee table) we’d say “it’s my knees they don’t work the way they used to” like in the commercial

Nowadays, I usually mute commercial breaks in case of disorienting audio, but I remember we watched a lot of Food Network from around mid-2018 to early 2020 (through Food Network GO), and it has proven to be, um, a goldmine for odd ads.
If I saw the talking Cologuard box in MY restroom, I'd beat him with a stick.
Not like I was going to watch Halloween Wars to begin with, but the Season 8 promo (with Bennett saying "WE'RE BAAACK!" while holding a bat puppet) from 2018 actually caused me to crack after a few weeks.
The Sabra Hummus song, which broke me after several weeks as well.
In mid-2019, there was this ad for Truly Seltzer set at a beach, but the music (the Ryan Riback version of Starley's "Call on Me") was extremely loud and abrupt. (And even more overproduced.) Things worsened that August when GO inserted it as the first thing in commercial breaks a second or two before the break actually began.
Later that same year in December, a VitaminWater ad cropped up with a bizarre, auto-tuned water cooler.
Elsewhere, I witnessed an Amazon Key ad with houses that talk through garage doors and bad FX.
As for ads that aren't cursed but really clashed with what I was watching, our initial watch of the Mixels "Moon Madness" episode came with a Walking Dead ad, and during an episode of Duff's Happy Fun Bake Time, we got an ad for Gillette Venus, which felt a little too steamy to be playing during a show like Duff's.
Nintendo has a long line of really weird and out-there commercials for many of their games, but this one's one of the weirdest, which believe me, says a lot.
