This is why you don't let Sega draw your anthropomorphic mammalian characters, especially if they wear white gloves. Their eyes start to do strange things.

And why is Donkey kong on the back?
I rise from the ashes. Only to fall back in again.

Damn, Barbapapa (which means "cotton candy" in French) is a super-iconic-famous cartoon in France!!
I only knew it by a picture book, then. As with Casimir the orange dinosaur.
You should know Casimir...
He and the Barbapapas were absolute super popular and famous icons in France in the late 1970s. He had a TV show called "L'Ile aux Enfants" (Children's Island) which had other popular cartoons, including the first anime in France!
Can hardly get more 70s than this!!
The 1970s were the golden years of French puppetry. There is SO much lost media from that period it isn't even funny.
I found it at a junk shop with a few other vhs and dvds in the back. The other stuff was all in boxes and just regular movies but this one seemed weird so I got it. I almost didn't get it assuming it was just a movie someone recorded off of the TV and made a fancy label for.
It's a 3 part movie about a special book that could bring america down if the information in it was released. Also there are bloopers at the end.
I can't find much about it online other than 2 old reviews by the same person

So I was going to reply, then I just made a new form called "The dumping" I dumped my ramblings on there...it was some videos and websites. Though here is something interesting anyways.
