It seems Humongous Entertainment had a game in the works called "Future Dog: Dog of the Future". I could find very little information on it, because it was never released and may not have even been completed. I was, however, able to find some of its character models.
as cool as this looks this is rather unfortunate but I'd say look into it more and see if you can find out anything else.
