Has anyone ever researched this 1974 Sherlock Holmes film with any success? It is mentioned in several books. I first came across it in the Guinness Book of Film Facts and Feats sometime in the mid 1980's. In this book its mentioned among a long list of Sherlock Holmes actors in a section on the fictitious character with the most on screen portrayals. This is what is available online. It was TV movie by West End Productions and stared Keith McConnell as Sherlock Holmes and Anthony Seerl as Watson. It is also referred to in Ron Haydock's Deerstalker book but alas that seems to be it. Further research informs you that McConnell played Holmes several times (including a deleted scene in Murder by Death which can viewed online) and that seems to be it. It could have been a film that was simply announced in the press but never started filming or a film that was never finished. I've always been intrigued by this film. I would be very impressed if anyone can shed any light on this mystery
