So I saw Elemental Movie yesterday and I personally enjoyed it and I kinda want to know what the lost media wiki thought on the film (if you saw the movie already)
I also heard lots of people didn't enjoy it but I liked it!

I'm getting "Inside Out" vibes from the look of it. Would this be considered a spiritual successor to that film?
He cut his trail of tears across the countryside And where he went, women wept and men died One night he woke from a vision of his own death Saddled his pony and rode her deep into the West

Depends what you mean "spiritual successor" of the film. Do I think it's a masterpiece like Inside Out? (Its my favorite pixar movie at the moment) Nah but honestly, it was better than what was shown in the trailers (best way to describe it: It's similar to Turning Red where the trailers weren't that good but when the movie dropped on Disney Plus. It was way better.) but it does have a Inside Out vibe (plus a bit of Turning Red) so if you like either of those movies you might like it

Some critics like James Berardinelli liked it, sounds like it's up my alley but not something that screams "must see in theaters".
Honestly fair, I saw it in theaters since I was really curious on the film (But it was one of those movies where I personally wouldn't be opposed on waiting an extra month or two till it drops on Disney+ assuming it's like Lightyear last year) and yeah I get why people preferring to wait till it drops on Disney Plus but I am still glad I got to see it when I did!

I want to see it, but unfortunately it’s not going to be for a while. I want to see it with my friend, but she was busy this weekend and I’m going to be busy next weekend. It’s sad that it doesn’t seem to be doing so hot.
Seems like this is going to be the movie that makes or breaks Pixar, and by the looks of things it's most definitely breaking them.
I don't really see how it would "break" them, it's getting pretty good reviews for the most part.
Last I checked it had like a 57% score but I guess it's improved since then. 75% is still pretty low for Pixar though. And then there's the box office.

Yeah but it's not Cars 2 low.
Disney is putting the foot down hard on pixar for how they've underperformed as of recent. The company is very at risk of turning into what circle seven almost was if it can't get another successful theatrical feature.

The Pixar name has too much of a legacy behind it for Disney to ever truly get rid of them, they already got bad press for firing the woman who saved Toy Story 2 from being lost forever, if they got rid of Pixar the bad press Disney would get is astronomical. Besides they've got Toy Story 5 coming up and that's guaranteed to print money.

I'm not saying they're going to get rid of pixar, at least not immediately. My concern is that they're going to stray it away from ever trying anything original again, and turn it into a sequel factory cranking out things such as the aforementioned Toy Story 5. That was Disney's original plan for if their deal with pixar fell through in the mid 00s, and it could very easily become reality in this current situation.
