Might be Better Fitted For Off-Topic, but since it talks about lost media I'm putting it here. So what are lost YouTube channels you remember watching. Also as a fun challenge send me the links and I'll try to find them.
theres a lot a channels that i used to watch that are LOONNGGG gone now. i seriously dont remember almost all of them lol, but i remember watching one channel of a video with someone destroying water bottles. and trust me, ive seriously tried to find it, but i couldnt. maybe its my brain playing tricks on me, or its a memory.
There are 2 kids channels that were REALLY popular back in the days however all of their videos are unlisted and privated. Those channels are funtoys collector (Disneycollectorbr) and Blu toys club surprise (Blucollection). There are 2 channels (who I'm asummuing is their new ones) witch upload new unboxing videos as well as reuploading videos from those 2 channels. The new channels names are unboxing Xtra and brokenegg unboxing. Also DON'T reupload videos that are on the channels they will strike you.

I think when I was VERY little I watched Disney collector.
Speeduncle99, it was one of my favourite youtube channels for a while, but unfortunately, they privated all of their videos outside of three livestreams, apparently it was due to one of the people involved in that channel getting a job that does background checks, and the owner of the channel who was also his friend privated everything to not complicate things.

Same goes for me, I watched their surprise eggs videos.
I remember watching Rap Ranter and Mues Reviews. I dunno what happened to the former, but I just found out that the latter basically rebranded her channel into this group channel thing. Also, she's a trans woman now. Good for her

Whoa for real? I've been subbed to his podcast co-host's channel Rap Critic for many years, I was never a big Mues fan myself(found them kinda whiny and annoying)and had no idea they became a trans woman(admittedly I hadn't followed their content for many years) interesting, hope they are a better person now(I had to stop listening to the Goin Off podcast because Mues's whining drove me nuts).
I remember watching Daniel Walterbury's videos. Daniel used to upload SiIvaGunner-inspired bait-and-switch logo parodies claiming to be "high quality logo captures" from 2017, which spawned various channels imitating his format, such as TheLogosMan4k (formerly CIosingLogosHD [uppercase i]), BGVC, and CBSEye76/LDA (Logo Documentation Authority, features a collective format like the original SiIvaGunner). Around 2020, he started uploading serious videos, mostly TVCs and fictional television IDs (mostly FOX), before he removed all of his videos. After a lot of digging, I believe that Daniel is currently active as Nernant, a frequent contributor to SiIvaGunner.
Last Edit: Jan 20, 2024 12:37:36 GMT by kirbyjoeh: Forgot to put a link to Daniel's channel, so I added it

There was this channel that was extremely popular around 2017 or 2018 called Toy Freaks. They got banned on youtube for child abuse and most there videos are lost, you can find some of them reuploaded on other sites but the channel is pretty much lost.
Oh boy, I have a lot of lost YouTube content to discuss.
Firstly, there was a controversial YouTuber I used to watch around 2017 and 2018, called Clementine Productions (real name Maddie). She was kind of a "commentary YouTuber", I guess you could say, she had an avatar that was drawn by herself that was known for constantly looking pissed off (It didn't change expression or pose like other YouTubers of this type from what I remember). I remember one of her videos was basically mocking amateur artists in the same vein as other channels such as DeviantCringe or Solar Sands, which gained a lot of controversy due to the fact her avatar wasn't very well drawn herself, which lead to her making a follow-up video titled something like "My Response To Your Opinions About My Art" where she basically just ranted for 5-7 minutes about how she's allowed to criticise the artists because her art isn't meant to be good, whereas the artists she's criticising are trying to be good, therefore they deserve to be criticised. Obviously she got a lot of backlash for this, and she regularly made videos responding to hate comments from what I remember. She also was trans and got a lot of hate comments on the basis of this, she dedicated an entire video to responding to transphobic hate comments as well. On YouTube, the only reference to her channel in any capacity that I can find is this fanart speedpaint: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTeia-pnoe8 Looking up "Clementine Productions" on Twitter, we can find some insight on what lead to her channel being deleted.
Surprisingly though, it seems she was still making videos in as late as 2021, her last video seems to be about "Lore Olympus".
As far as I am aware, there are no backups of her videos anywhere, and there's not even any screencaps online of what her drawn avatar even looked like apart from the fanart video. She also doesn't seem to have made any kind of new channel and has just disappeared from the internet completely. There may be as many as over 100 lost videos, considering that all the videos on her entire channel, from this 2017-2021 time span are lost. Very mysterious.
Edit: I delved deeper into the topic and found a lot of residue of what many of her now deleted videos were titled or were about, if anyone's interested, should I make a thread dedicated to this, even though the chance of finding any of these videos is pretty much 0?
Secondly, I'd like to talk about a different YouTuber that I remember watching in my childhood, but I cannot find anywhere now, even when searching terms that would have garnered it before, which leaves me to believe this is also another deleted channel. This channel was from around 2014-2016, couldn't have been later than that. Their channel revolved around destroying various objects by shooting them with a potato launcher. These videos would always start out with a skit format with the 3-4 guys running the channel, usually it would start with one of the guys minding his own business and the others would break into his house and then tempt him to shoot whatever object, and it was a running gag for the first guy to say "How did you guys get into my house?". Then it would show live footage of them shooting whatever object in their backyard. Iirc all the videos were titled by what "episode" number they were, and they may have also been categorised into different "seasons" too. The first few videos seemed very low budget but I think they became more high production as the channel went on. I only remember 2 videos from this channel, the very first video was them shooting a Guitar Hero controller, and there was another video on their channel of them shooting a Furby. I remember the name of this channel maybe having the word "Spud" in there, and ended in "HD", like "SpudBlasterHD" or something (Although that's just a guess).
Also just in case anyone tries to do research and gets confused, I was the one who made both of these R/TOMT threads about both of these channels: https://www.reddit.com/r/tipofmytongue/comments/mdgf6b/tomtyoutuber20172018_animationrant_youtuber_i/

There's a few. One that comes to mind is RickyRay102. He was one of the old commentary YouTubers, before LeafyIsHere, where people would use still images of characters they didn't make as their avatars, and would commentate on people doing stupid things. He used Sparky from Speed Racer as his avatar, and mostly did commentaries on videos that were either Sonic or gaming related. He went on a long hiatus after 2015, and would occasionally stream or upload a new video.
Last year, he removed all of his videos and officially retired from YouTube. A good chuck of his video have been archived, with a number of exceptions. His streams all seem to be missing, including ones that were archived to his channel for a time. Most of the few cartoons he uploaded to YouTube are also missing, with the exception of the trailer for a unreleased series he worked on called Star Fox X. He also uploaded a few shit posts to his channel, which also seem to be lost.
Like I said, there's archives of his stuff, but there's still plenty of it that's still lost.
