Hello all, I'm the official head of a semi-official community centered around the search for these clients. We have an official blog at clientsearch.tumblr.com/ and a discord that can be accessed through that site.
In terms of updates on the search, a lot of information pertaining to the earliest clients (2004 and 2005 specifically) has been found or 'reconstructed', and a smaller group of us have been recreating the 2005 client using the original game engine roblox was built on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwtUN9LJawM
Leads on 2006 or earlier 2007 clients are scarce, as the roblox playerbase at that time was a fraction of a percent of what it is now, and the chances of users among those who still have old harddrives is also fairly small. However, since 4 2007 clients have been sourced, it stands to reason that the rest can still be found somewhere.

I think I may have some new information. (Also I apologize for the bump.) I believe I have found an even earlier 2007 Roblox installer; however, as winmario1234 mentioned on the 4th page of this thread, this installer is missing some cabinet and similar files. (I think this is the installer user Whimee sent winmario1234.) I believe the March 2007 version uploaded to GitHub by CloneTrooper1019 may hold some of these. I myself am not an expert coder and file digger; I only managed to come across this while performing specific Google searches. Yes, I know; this is a small development, however I believe this is proof that earlier versions of Roblox may be found. Update 2: Ah crap... Turns out people found this file a lot already. After some investigation, I realized that this file only lists the contents, whereas the .cab files contain the actual contents. Nevermind... (P.S. I myself started playing Roblox just this year, and I don't have any family or friends who could have "an old computer with the client" or something. Other than web searching, I'm of no use here. Sorry.)
