Okay, the name of the game is called, "a," so that's one place to start.
What about the name of the developer? I see that the link you posted has the words, "a super sale," in it. Is that the name of the developer? Because if it is, that could be helpful to the search! If we know who made the game, we could use that as a lead! π
UPDATE: I found the developer! Wikipedia says that the developer (and the publisher) is Banana Cat! This is gonna make things SO MUCH EASIER! π

*Gasp!* π Okay, that helps. If you remember any other names, that the company went by, post it to the thread. I'll look into it.
Note: sorry for the late reply. I had to work a lot during the week you replied to me.
π¨ DISREGARD! THIS POST CONTAINS WRONG INFORMATION! π¨ ------------------------------------------ I think I found the developer's Twitter account! Here's the link to the possible account: twitter.com/CatBananaStudio
I think it's @catbananastudio, but I can't message the account! When I tried to message this account, via Twitter Direct Message, I saw a message in light gray that reads, "@catbananastudio canβt be messaged."
Even the link to the website, in the account's bio, leads to a page that says, "This site can't be reached." Did the company abandon their account/website and just give up on making video games? π

Edit: Maybe theirs a way to find an email (business or personal) of the Banana Cat? Indie game developers are only a small group of individuals (if not just one person pulling all the strings), so it's best to contact one of (or the only worker/owner) of Banana Cat. Because contacting through email, and via social media accounts, is so important to the search, it is EXTREMELY crucial that you remember all the names that the company has ever gone by. Heck, if you can remember any other games that Banana Cat has ever made, that would help tremendously! π

Major Update
It looks like Banana Cat had something to do with a game called Imagine Nations.
I can see what they were trying to do with the name, but it's really hard to pronounce. π
Ether way, I found two different social media pages for the game.
The videos, on the YouTube channel, mention the name Banana Cat in the video BY THE PERSON PLAYING THE GAME! So it's confirmed that this is the same person that has something to do with the Banana Cat indie company. On the about page, of the YouTube channel, is a business email! We could contact the email to ask him about the game. Heck, they might give you a download, or tell you if they still sell it somewhere, if you ask them about it via email.
As for the Twitter account, I haven't found anything useful yet. I think I need to take my time and read some more older post to see if there is something there of use. There is a link, to a website, in the bio of twitter as well. But it's also a dead link. I also can't DM this Twitter account either.
Yeah, I think they don't really wanna be reached. They probably gave up on making games, and shut the web sites down. I can't really find much information on them, from a Google search, so I thought that was odd. The information is so scattered that I feel like a true detective! π
π¨ DISREGARD! THIS POST CONTAINS WRONG INFORMATION! π¨ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Slight Update (Update Part 2)
While I was searching the Twitter accounts, I noticed that the social media accounts said, "Cat Banana," instead of Banana Cat. However, this did not discourage me from giving up. Do you wanna know why? π
Because by this time, I had ended up making it to the very first Tweets that Cat Banana ever posted!
On one of Cat Banana's very first tweets was:
'a2 Be Real Be Geniune #kloutchat' (Posted 2:20 PM Nov 7, 2013)
and another one of the companies posts reads:
'a3 #cats dogs bacon and bananas are great #kloutchat' (Posted 2:26 PM Nov 7, 2013)
I think this is the game developer's way of teasing fans who might wanna see the company produce a sequel to the first a.
π¨ DISREGARD! THIS POST CONTAINS WRONG INFORMATION! π¨ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Major Update π¨ (Update part 3)
I found Cat Banana's Kickstarter page for their Imagine Nations game Here's the link:
They pledged $200,000, but they failed! They were only able to get $6,593 from their backers. π
But that's not the important part! π
There is a video embedded on the front of their Kickstarter page. In the video, the founders of Cat Banana say their full names AT THE BEGINING OF THE VIDEO!
The founder's names are William Phelps and Bret DeChristopher. If we can search their names, it may lead to more clues about the game called a. Also there is a list of names (with there respective photos) of everyone that has something to do with the Imagine Nations game on the Kick Starter page. Those also look like a decent lead.
I can't find William Phelps Facebook. I'll definitely have to look tomorrow. I need to go to bed. π΄ποΈ But I will try to find more soon. It has to be Cat Banana! Everything is so scattered. There are at least two dedicated Reddits, and a Discord, for this ONE GAME. So I HAVE TO look tomorrow. You have me obsessed with a game I've never played. π€£
note:the game was probably made in unity similar to the devs other games and the switch version
Okay, so I have a question about the game. Can you remember if the game ever existed before the year 2021? Even if it isn't a PC or Nintendo Switch release. If this game was never released before 2021, then I will most likely need to abandon everything and start over.
Okay, so I think I need to issue you an apology. I am so sorry. I need to start all over again! Cat Banana IS NOT ANOTHER NAME FOR Banana Cat. Please disregard all posts in this thread (made by me), except this post and feature post made.
However, I will not leave you hanging. I have BETTER AND Accurate leads now! π
Did you know that Banana Cat has a dedicated Reddit? Yes, here's the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/creepygaming/comments/q9w7im/mysterious_game_on_nintendo_switch_store/
There is so much information on the fan Reddit! In fact, I was able to find the name of another game, made by the creator, called SDST. Here's the link to the Steam page: store.steampowered.com/app/1579590/SDST_Deluxe/
This was Banana Cat's real Twitter name: @bananacatstudio
I believe this is the account because the fan reddit has a post, made a year ago, that mentions how Banana Cat no longer has a Twitter. And there was another Reddit user, who posted a post TWO years ago, that said the Twitter account only let approved followers see their Tweets.

the pc version of the game was probably released in 2021 but it could have been released in late 2020 (unsure though)

there is no banana cat subreddit to my knowledge
I'm sorry! I meant the game called, 'a,' has a fan reddit. Forgive me.
