In a Post of Reddit, i see this first look to "Castlevania 5" (Aka Castlevania Symphony of the Night) And i have so many questions...
First. Exist a Pre-E3 version? Second. What suppose to mean with "His basic weapon, the whip" ? Third. The Enemies in the wrong places (Fire Wang in the Begging and the Ice monsters in the entrance) Fourth: "Hearts will be scattered to throughout the leaves to improve the health of the character" That Means SOTN will be a Lineal Game? Fifth: Looking the data in "TCRF" About the unused ending (Richter and Maria Dying) and a "Unknown Jingle" Which somehow reminds us of the "Stage Clear" from the previous Castlevanias (or even being a kind of "All Clear") may can confirm that.

"Video game journalism" as good as it ever was. Misinformation in that period was rife and probably a conflation of the ability to play as Richter with also Rondo of Blood.
Usually companies would make mockup screens using assets from the upcoming game to send to magazines, and American magazines like EGM and Game Fan would just outright pirate the screenshots and articles from Famitsu, so there's an added layer of translation trouble on top of it.

Video game magazines did create tons of fake news, however I would like to know what this magazine is. If its something like nintendo power or something like that then its probably real

P.S.X. Magazine, an unofficial magazine. I remember it when I was a teen for having ecchi in it. Coverage was OK, Official US Playstation Magazine was better since it came with demo discs. I think P.S.X. was trying to ape GameFan in style, not so sure about that at this date. From the same publisher that put out Game Players and Next Generation, if that matters any.

Well OK then I'd have to agree that would mean it's probably fake
