first no CG in the very first few episodes, Then CG is first used in the s1 episode "Jellyfish Jam" but only for backgrounds and whatnot, and now, SB is fully CG. go figure.

Spongebob is fully CG now? What? When did that happen?

I'm talking about him being fully CG in this short...
I suggest we find anyone else that worked at Nick Digital Studios around 2000-2005 and contact them. Unfortunately it seems archive.org hasn't archived the nickdigital.com webpage very well, so we can't get any info from there. From what I gather, Nick Digital's main focus was commercials, so I wouldn't be surprised if spongebob rehydrated was just some sort of bumper, but still, there might be a few more scenes than in the vimeo video, and there is definitely missing audio.
I thought I had a lead but she stopped responding, so I figured I may as well dump the info here so people could dissect it (if you want to ask her further things, I'm not stopping you, but please don't harass her like people did with the ADWSS staff. I considered scratching out her details, but this stuff is public and anyone could find it with a Twitter search, so I figured it wasn't really worth it).
I found somebody who made 2 tweets from 2013 that made it seem like she was watching Re-Hydrated (tweets are in reverse order):
(I am aware how unlikely it is that someone would have seen this in 2013, but can you think of anything else she could have been talking about? After all, she called it an "episode", not a fan-animation or anything, and AFAIK this is the only time SpongeBob has parodied The Matrix. Plus, even if she was talking about a fan-animation, I feel like those would all be clearly labeled as Matrix parodies ("spongebob int he matrix!! funny vid!!!!!"), and not really require any sudden realization 5 minutes in)
So, I tried asking her if she was referring to Re-Hydrated:
To my surprise, she actually responded within 24 hours:
I responded again, asking for clarification and any further info she might have:
Oh my God, I initially thought she meant "I think it was the bud", referring to her being high or something haha.
So this was nearly a month ago you had this conversation with her? Weird that she can't help anymore, but such is the case with lost media; everyone always has to act MYSTERIOUS AF about it for some reason.

Her profile says she's in the UK - maybe it was a UK-exclusive short? And for some reason they also aired it in 2013? It's doubtful, but maybe they were in some serious need of filler stuff to air, and she just happened to catch it. It would also explain why none of us remember it, since as far as I know, none of us are from the UK. Does anyone know of any sites that keep archives of past TV guide listings? If we could check what aired on Nick UK or Nicktoons UK on that day, it could potentially prove or disprove my hypothesis. I doubt she saw it online, after all, or there'd be more traces of it, and she probably would have linked it in her tweet.
I'm from the uk and I've never seen this before and around 2013 I used to watch early mornings to catch old sponge bobs and I don't remember any commercials or anything from it I could be wrong though mabye I just don't remember
Here is my theory, I don't believe this was actually aired on tv. From watching the shorts I believe that this is part of a Jimmy neutron video game, the animation is very similar to The Spongebob video games like battle of bikini bottom. If anyone has any video games, check for it.
The real mystery is, why is this guy's name Goopy?
I mean, this wouldn't be a great lost media piece if he didn't just ignore all messages about it.
How about messaging the people who said they worked with him on his LinkedIn page? I'm just sitting here reading his recommendations "I loved working with Goopy blah blah blah" and thinking who is named Goopy?
