I remember seeing a video on YouTube in roughly 2008, in which Mario and Luigi are waiting in a doctor's office. A doctor comes in and says "Mario, Luigi, the results came in... You're not really brothers", so Mario and Luigi immediately look at each other and start making out. I've searched just about everything I could think of to find it, and I just can't seem to find it anywhere. Any leads would be appreciated.
I'm looking for a bass house set I used to listen to a few years ago that used to be on SoundCloud. The lyrics I can remember are a sample of Snoop Dogg saying some things including "you know we keep it bangin'" and I think at one point he says "don't fake the funk". There's also a part where a guy asks "you're not into it?" and a woman responds with, "I'm not into it. I already know the game and I've been through it." "they can't handle it?" "they can't handle it. Try to take me out to dinner, I cancel it." The set is about 30 minutes long, and the genre of it is bass house. I've checked SoundCloud and the artist, Phosphorus, doesn't even come up, so I presume his account was deleted. If anyone could find this I'd highly appreciate it.
My father has told me recently that he is having trouble finding a certain cartoon from circa 1974. He says that, from what he remembers, it's about an island on which all of its citizens get whatever they want, whenever they want it. They eventually become curious of the source of these things, so they search around the island for it, and they find a machine that absorbs everything, such as the trees and rocks, from one side of the island and converts them into items for the citizens on the other side. He says it is not a series, just a standalone cartoon, and he also notes that there's a teeny tiny chance that it may involve Yogi Bear, but he highly doubts it. Quite unfortunately, he doesn't know what channel it could have been on, but does any of that sound familiar to you guys?
I don't know if any similar thread have been created, if that's the case I apologize. With that said:
I've seen a lot of people in here asking if toys and other physical items could be considered lost media, the answer is always no, and I agree. However, I was wondering, if toys and other physical items are not los media, then what are they? Are they lost whatever? Do they even fall into a lost thing category?
I guess you would consider them lost physical items, if they're inaccessible to the general public. Maybe someone could make a wiki for that.
In 2015, Capcom collaborated with UBIQ to make shoes based on Capcom games. The pairs in particular that I want have Mega Man and Ghouls 'n Ghosts. I was able to track down the Mega Man pair a while ago but now I can't. I've never been able to find the pair for Ghouls 'n Ghosts. If anyone can, please guide me on where to find these beautiful pieces of footwear. Thank you.
Would you say that a 30-second youtube video made by a 12 year old with 20 subscribers is on the same level of importance as a professionally made TV series that was aired internationally? I understand that I was a bit vague. If I recorded a video of my dog taking a shit, then deleted it from my phone, should I write an article for it? After all, it's "lost media", so it belongs here, right? Well, I'm assuming you'd say no. I believe I said earlier in this thread that I don't consider personal stuff notable. But it does raise the question - how far can that definition be stretched before it becomes detrimental to the original goal? If something's on a private tracker, is it still lost? If something is cancelled before it's finished production, does that count as lost? If something is for sale but it's really expensive, would that count as lost media? And how expensive would it have to be to qualify? If something is cancelled and it was at least partially completed, it's lost. If something is for sale, it's lost until it is leaked to the public. But the more obscure your media is, the less sources you'll have. So eventually you get to a point where something is so obscure that even if we got rid of the notability rule entirely, you STILL wouldn't be able to write an article for it because there's no way to reasonably confirm anything about it by the standards of a wiki. I've read non-dub articles in which the subject matter has little-to-no information available on it. Also, what about media with its existence unconfirmed? Admit it - if Albanian Spongebob had never gone lost, not a single human living outside of Albania would have cared about it. Quite often, interest in a particular piece of lost media comes from reading an article on said media on the wiki. We're not saying it shouldn't be found, we're just saying it's not our priority. Well, you're saying it's not our priority. Others are saying that anyone who cares about dubs at all should stay away from the wiki.
It may surprise you to hear that I never said anything like that.
Well, does anyone want to find lost Greeny Phatom episodes, even though it's gonna be useless, since it's not notable? Besides, I don't feel like repeating myself, but Dubs are literally fucking audio tracks, and they don't serve much importance aside from the GoAnimators who think that they belong to a museum.
When you say "just audio tracks", do you mean that all lost audio is not notable, including music or narration?
How "important" is Sara & Hoppity? How about the lost skits of Les Minikeums? How "worth it" was Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe In Santa? Most media that gets lost in the first place is due to a lack of interest, but we still search, regardless of how "important" it is. Also, there are no excuses for bad writing unless English isn't your first language. Even if the writing is bad, it will be tagged as "Needing Work", and anyone can fix the errors.
"anyone can fix the errors." does not excuse you for bad writing, and it DEFINITELY does not excuse you for not meeting the article rules
I never said it was an excuse for bad writing. We have the editing feature for a reason.
the only thing people really say to defend dub articles is "lost is lost" no argument on how it is important, no reasons for they're articles to stay, not anything, no excuses for bad writing, just stop with your dubs, they are not worth it
If you really were so dedicated to finding a Arabic version of Spongebob just because "EHS IMPORTENT", and nothign else, then you shouldn't even be in this Wiki. Period.
People who care about something that's lost don't belong on The Lost Media Wiki
no, a deleted upload of spongebob is not an actual production of nickelodeon, a lost SpongeBob deleted scene is an actual production of nickelodeon
You missed my point, what I was trying to imply was that apparently, a deleted low quality upload of a entire Spongebob episode is "LOST MEDIA", and should be notable and put into a museum.
It may surprise you to hear that I never said anything like that.
