I remember the song very well. but very little about the visuals. the greenscreen effect doesn't sound too far off though. I can imagine how it looked since a lot of old Treehouse shows tended to have special effects with a somewhat cheap look to them.
I was the one who had that one second footage. My mom had recorded it for me in the early 2000s because she loved it and she tried to get me to love it too. I was around 3-4 years old. Sadly it got taped over at some point (not by me). I wish I could find it in full too.
Sometimes in the early 2010s I'd watch a channel called APTN. particularly the kids block. They aired a lot of weird and cheap shows nobody knew about (Wapos Bay, Bizou, Takuginai, Tiga Talk etc.) however the one that fascinated me the most was "Mouki". I can't find a single full episode online.
The series was about a large talking raccoon named Mouki who plays in a backyard with his 2 human friends though sometimes they would go to school or a forest. episodes would have songs in-between (some animated, some live action and even some had a mix of both) and Mouki would learn about friendship and human life. The show is also entirely in French though I believe at one point it aired in English (with original audio, just with a man calmly reading the translated dialogue over it. kind of like a Russian dub). I recall they removed it from the English schedule and it only aired on French days after a while.
This show REALLY annoyed me at the time because of everyone's voices. but it nonetheless kept me interested just for how obscure it is even back when it was still airing. I have no idea if it still airs but I doubt it.
The show isn't COMPLETELY lost. there are some clips which I'll share below.
youtu.be/-s06u6LBWxc - A live action segment featuring kids which the series would occasionally have.
I wonder if anyone else remembers this show.....or anything else from APTN Kids for that matter. If anyone has any questions about Mouki or APTN Kids let me know. I remember a lot from this block.

Sonic Boom aired on Cartoon Network India. The Indian version was VERY edited and there used to be videos up on Youtube but they're all gone.
Some of noteworthy changes of the dub include
- A different theme song (which can be found on my Youtube channel) - A rather silly narrator who talks quite often. - Tails was given a very low voice - Much of the dialogue was modified
And nothing can be found from the Tamil or Telugu feeds either. I believe there's a possibility the English dub used the same abridged script the Hindi dub used with redubbed actors and such. This is nothing new for CN India. usually when they air a dub with a lot of edits they broadcast their own English dub with it. One example is The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy which aired under the name "Haddi Mera Buddy" with similar changes and an entirely new music track. but I wouldn't say there's enough evidence to prove a new English dub was produced for Sonic Boom I still believe it's possible.
I only have one episode in Hindi backed up which I may consider reuploading to Youtube. as for now I'll provide a link to the intro and a clip from the dubbed episode (with the CN USA airing plastered over the visuals)
There's a rare anime from 1991 called Dororonpa (どろろんぱっ) created by Mayumi Muroyama . It was based on a manga and ran for 115 episodes. It originally aired on TV Asahi but reran on AbemaTV . I used to think the show itself was lost but there are episodes that can be found with torrents. They seem to have been ripped from a digital source, but of which I have no idea. and from what I can gather, the series has never been aired outside Japan.
One thing that does seem to be lost though is the full version of the opening sequence "CREAM SODA/MELON SODA". It was completely missing from digital rips and I can only find a part of it on YouTube which I'll link below.
I've came back late. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped identify this. I think I'll consider talking more about this series more in the future as the original Japanese version looks to be mostly lost as well.
I've stumbled across a rather interesting looking children's show that aired on Spacetoon in Arabia but originates from Japan. it's called "أصدقاء الدروب" in Arabic (which translates to "Friends of the Paths"). The series focuses on educating children on how vehicles work and other methods of transport. but what I can't find is the Japanese title. I've tried a lot of different ways. the show has a Wikipedia page but doesn't say anything about it's Japanese title or the exact year it aired aside from being in the 1990s.
I've translated the name into Japanese but no luck there. I tried doing extensive research with the Arabic name on Google but none lead to a page having the title. The credits in the show are all in Arabic and are unreadable (Yandex of course can't make anything out.) and there isn't even enough English text in the clips I found that would be a lead to discovering a page about the series.
The Arabic dub of the show itself is pretty rare too. as I can only find the opening and ending along with a promo. which I'll link below
I'm Canadian and I remember watching Kid Paddle on Teletoon back in the mid-2000s. I really liked it but the English version is pretty hard to come by now for some reason. the series was produced by "Spectra Animation" who you might know from their works on Toopy and Binoo.
There's only 4 episodes I could find in English since they were available on a DVD from Porchlight Entertainment. There are also some Canadian DVD releases into split volumes but they're all extremely rare. The series doesn't seem to be available anywhere on streaming and recordings from Teletoon are pretty much non-existent. but there are a few other things I've been able to come across.
I was browsing for rare cartoons when I came across this cheap-looking yet interesting one that aired in Arabia. the name is "غومر" which translates to "Gomer"
The Spacetoon program list in Arabic on Wikipedia says this synopsis. "A man named Gomer and his adventures with odd aliens". it even says the cartoon came from 1986 which would be surprising if true. CGI was pretty scarce back then. aside from the Intro I can't find anything else. I've searched up about any CGI cartoons that may have came out at the time this one did but didn't end up finding anything that resembles this one.
I have a big feeling that an English version of this cartoon exists somewhere. In the intro there is some English text that reads "Ouch!". and majority of the shows that aired on Spacetoon were acquired and not made originally for the network. it's even common for them to plaster different clips over their intros. we can hear sound effects in the background that were probably from the original version .
So I was talking to my friend about Jakers. He then brought up something so bizarre that I want it to be found. He recalls watching a Parental Controls guide that went along the lines of this.
It began with the Jakers theme song. Then the music abruptly faded out into soft piano music as a female announcer said "Parental Controls." the announcer was saying something along the lines of "Using these simple steps and tools, you can now free your children from these accidental horrors."
So, what's so bizarre about this?
Around the part in the theme where the black duck was riding the poorly made car, it slam cut to the TV Guide with the footage still playing on the top right corner. The Guide itself? Supposedly, every single show was Jakers. Even on different networks.
Friend says this is all he can remember. we're laughing about it and we both hope somebody has it recorded somewhere. it's possible this was done to other shows on Comcast as well.
BKN was a syndicated cartoon block in the 90s. mostly featuring shows from DiC. there were various bumpers aired between commercial breaks that are very rare.
When "ThisTV" started airing Sonic Underground in 2010 they accidentally left the BKN bumpers intact for a while. they fixed this later on though. It's also quite possible that this happened on other BKN series that aired since 2001 (Mummies Alive, AOSTH, etc.). A YouTube channel named "baul104 luigi" has actually recorded most of them from camera in the link below.
If anybody has HQ recordings of Sonic Underground airing on ThisTV it's possible they'll have the bumpers shown in them. and it would be great to get these uploaded in HQ. continuities of BKN have always been rare.
Remember those Sonic-themed LCD Games from Mcdonalds? Although I'm not from the UK, I remember seeing a commercial on YouTube a long time ago for them. and I know it very well. It was from the UK. a mix between CGI and live action.
It began with 2 kids jumping into a Happy Meal box and joining a soccer game. Sonic appears in it and helps them by rolling into the ball and hitting it in the net. They do a victory dance, and the camera brings us back to the real world where the kids eat at Mcdonalds. with the announcer saying "Get right into the action with Sonic games and the tastiest food at Mcdonalds! Sega is the next generation!" Sonic appears at the end and says something, but the upload I remember abruptly cuts it off. another thing I can note is that the upload was a camera recording of a YouTube video. which obviously means that there was a direct capture of the commercial once available.
There was also an alternate version from the US involving Soccer, that had Sonic and Knuckles. but I don't remember much about it aside from the animation looking like the CG cutscenes from Sonic Heroes.
I've searched for a long time, and I can't find them. I have no idea what happened! If anybody else knows where it could be found, that would be great.
I remember it too. I even remember the theme song. it was slowly sung by kids "Come see the sea! let's see what we can see!" and it showed a scuba diver waving at the camera (either during the intro or credits). I wonder if the series was once available on Kids' CBC Wonder World.....
