Finally got a response from the guy who had the storyboards, he said he sold them off years ago. I've sent him another email asking if he ever did any scans that show the deleted scene better.
our best bet would be contacting someone who worked in the production of the film(William M. Morgan edited thefilm but i cant find who he is/was) or disney itself problem is disney hates sharing lost media and this film in particular
While I was searching for animation cels to use as a reference for my Song Of The South restoration, I came across a set of storyboards. Most of them were just like their final version, with the exception of this page.
The deleted scene is the one where the frames are crossed out. This scene was going to take place after Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah where the scene of Brer Rabbit at his Briar Patch is in the final cut. I don't know too much about the scene due to the image being cut off. I contacted the guy who owns the storyboards and asked him if he could give better scans, so no need to contact him. I'm just leaving this page here because there isn't enough content for a full page on the actual website, and just incase I find anymore deleted scenes while looking through production material.

also the film that is called "Willies Dream" does not look like the one you listed from 1907, The print itself is most likely from 1932-1935, as it has a bootleg Mickey and Bootleg Felix on the title card. I found records of 3 lost films "Dolly's Toys (1901)", "The Enchanted Toymaker (1904)", and "Dreams of Toyland (1908)" by Arthur Melbourne-Cooper that might be it looking at the screenshots. However it says that the first 2 might've used stop-motion. The best bet is that it might be "Dreams Of Toyland" due to a similar name and the description I found is that it "features a scene with many animated toys that lasts circa three and a half minutes." If not it could one of the lost works of Quirino Cristiani as it does have a similar cut-out style to his works from before the 30s, And this looks like a cheap bootleg that might've stolen the animation, or just bought the rights to it.
Youtube compresses the video, and the grain on film makes raw film scans looking disgusting on Youtube. I would recommend uploading the scans to something like MEGA.nz or Archive.org. I am very intrested in it and would like to try to restore the scans when they are finished, very intresting find mat.
plop the file into handbrake then hit convert, I would recommend though multiple tweaks to the default settings
1. Switch "Peak Framerate" to "Constant Framerate" under the Video tab. 2. if it is a PAL or Film recording switch it to 25 or 24fps in the settings. you can check what framerate your file is by right clicking on the original, then hitting properties, then details. 3. Change the quality settings from "Constant Quality" to "Bitrate" 4. Change the bitrate to higher than default. Using the same procedure you used to find your original files framerate, you can find its Bitrate. You can put the bitrate lower, which will make it lower quality. But make it use less space. 5. CHANGE THE DEFAULT AUDIO COMPRESSION. Handbrake has it automatically on AAC 160kbps. This sounds pretty bad. I would recommend putting it on "Auto Passthru" which will put the original audio track into the new file. Do note that most DVD audio [AC3] will not work in some video editing software such as Vegas. If you are doing this for video editing purposes. Set the bitrate to AAC 320kbps. 6. To speed up encode time under Filters switch De-Interlace to off. However if it is a DVD or VHS source. Switch it to Yadif.
I think the movie that aired was a different version from the original 2002 movie. The animation looked very different.
The thing about the original 2002 version is that it was never finished, i'm pretty sure the clip online is the only finished clip. pretty sure all that was done other than that was the script and maybe storyboards
