So, this is Wolf Rock TV, an animated series from 1984 that didn't last long! Only 7 episodes were aired! And of course, all of them are lost.
It was based on a real radio DJ nicknamed "Wolfman Jack". Don't know who he is? Well, I think you have a reason why this cartoon didn't resurface yet...
He runs a rock music radio station... but of course, like a lot of cool 80s cartoons, he is also living cool adventures while assisted by a group of cool kids, and they have a cool funny sidekick animal, Bopper the parrot. And you know he's KEWL because he is "hip-talking and moondancing" !! (seriously!!) This will appeal to the young audience!
"Hip" animals and crazy robots! Don't kids love when cartoon adaptations go all over the place?
Anyway, apart from animation cels and a bit of merchandise... what has been found?
An old TV preview starring "Weird Al" Yankovic who is visiting a theme park along two actors dressed as Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo:
Who cares about Wolfman Jack himself? The real star is Bopper, everyone! He is a "hip-talking and moondancing" parrot, after all!!
And just today, user "Cyber Bishop" has uploaded the theme song he recorded on an old cassette player back then! Cheers to him!!
As you all may know, back months ago someone harassed a cast member on the "Me & My Friends" Backyardigans Pilot. What I wanted to address was the whole "THE SEARCH IS OVER" spew that's been going on, and the whole "We can't email Nickelodeon about any other Lost Media because of the harassment".
Here's the main point. The Me & My Friends search is NOT over. It is still ongoing. Yes, one bad apple harassed one cast member but that doesn't stop the search for everyone. If you are truly determined, you will continue even with one bad thing that happened.
Also yes. Continue searching for any other Nickelodeon Lost Media too. Clockman, Pinwheel, etc. isn't a lost cause because of the harassments, contrary to popular belief, it's been proven that the myth of Nickelodeon knowing about the incident is completely false.
The email someone claimed to have gotten from Nickelodeon themselves regarding Me & My Friends stating "If emails about this pilot continue to be sent legal action will be taken" was completely fake. Do not believe that information, especially since there was no proof of the email. Bottom Line: YOU MAY STILL SEARCH FOR ME AND MY FRIENDS. That is all. Thank you.
In 1974, Jewish Chautauqua Society aired a PSA on TV about hate, which had a angry man (who was a silhouette) walking with an angry expression on his face, and a weird arrow like symbol on his stomach. (it's revealed once he gets closer) But when he gets really close to the screen, his head turns red as he gets angrier, and he explodes. The entire PSA also had creepy-like music, and a voiceover saying:
Hate--is a poison that corrodes, an acid that erodes
When you hate, who do you hurt the most?
Hate hurts...YOU!
Afterwards, in the early 1980's, the PSA was edited to 10 seconds long, now beginning with the already revealed angry man, and with different music. Plus, there's a different voiceover (who for some reason, sounds like Glenn Yarbrough, but it isn't him), and he sings the lyrics from the original version. (Except for the first lyric)
It is currently unknown if there are any copies of the original 1974 version with the original music/voiceover.
Hmm. Do you know of any specific details in the original?
I was recently going through my collection of old VHS tapes when I found an Alvin and the Chipmunks Demo Tape that I have had since I was a little kid. I've seen a few clips floating around on Youtube from it, but I'm unsure if anyone has uploaded the whole thing. A Google search only really lead an EBay listing with no pictures and a single blurry image.
I am a Japanese and are gathering information on old arcade games as a hobby. When I was investigating about Um Jammer Lammy: NOW! (Arcade), I came here. For that reason, I am reading and writing in WEB translation. If there are some mistakes in English, I'd like to apologize.
I have been doing some retro game centers in Japan, I have not seen any information on which Um Jammer Lammy NOW! is running. It was around 12 years ago to see the last time it was running at the game center. Many people are looking for it in Japan, but there are opinions that "It may not exist in Japan anymore".
If you find Um Jammer Lammy NOW!, I'm thinking of buying it. I will tell you much if I need Japanese information. Let me help you together.
Wow, I never expected the LMW to spread over to Japan. It might exist in Sony's internal archive as a machine or ROM, so there's a glimmer of hope there.
Was it "Chopping Mall"? It's another one of those cheap 70's horror films. There was one scene from the movie where a malfunctioning security robot shoots a girl's head off.
Seems interesting. I've already found the video btw. I'll post a link to it soon.
I remember seeing a YouTube video months back with these two girls trying to run from a serial killer in a mall. It was weird and appeared to be from a VHS tape, and appeared to have been from the 80's. I haven't been able to find it and I unfortunately don't remember the name of it. Does anyone else know about this video?
There are a lot of so-called "real" horror videos like that on YouTube. They're the kind of things preteen girls will see and squeal in fear about, claiming theyre real
Ik. I want to see this one as it was interesting, but eerie. It had like weird synth music too.
