I was researching details of this for a while before checking the first post again and realising it was a behind the scenes episode, meaning it didn't need to follow the standard format for episodes. Turning up the saturation on the screenshots seems to fix the colour problems that I was going to use as evidence they were fake or out of context. (Weirdly, the props department seems to have removed the stools from the kitchen. In all scenes of the kitchen that I've seen, it looked like those were stationary.)
The only other thing that might disprove the existence of this episode is the fact that Jim Henson made another behind the scenes episode of the show in 2009: www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6Qdvvb1UTs
It does exist. The page was web archive'd before deletion.
I decided to join the search for the lost clients and have been searching for hours. The only thing I found was a dead link that apparently at one point had a 2007 client. Are there any good ways of looking for this stuff?
beta really doesn't appear different than the 2010 version. I jumped on the game around then, I believe. Miss that version. Is there a page with older builds on it? It's basically unplayable in it's modern state for me, especially with the absence of the old mod platform. Also, have they brought back actual maps?
Yeah, some modders added the maps back. They work fine for the most part.
Anyways, the beta does have some major differences.
First off, the beta had LEGO horses. Players also had limbs. The bow model was different (I can't really find any screenshots of it right now) and the rocket launcher didn't make the player rocket jump. And in the really early beta, the players where Lego figures instead of blockheads. Also the jeep sounded a bit different.
Blockland is one of those building games, except it doesn't have a terrible community. for the most part. But the private beta version from 2006 is lost. Videos/Screenshots:
What is the main component file we need to be looking for?
For the MSI, all of the cabs are needed.
However, the setups for 2007 were once on setup.roblox.com and 2009+ can be found on c5.roblox.com.
The MSI was found on setup.roblox.com, and is on web archive. However, the setup that roblox gave to it's users was a full EXE with the cabs on the installer rather than extracted from it.
Recently, An interview with Miyamoto was found in a magazine from around 1989. It stated that they finished working on Zelda 3, but couldn't ship out the cartridges because the factory couldn't take them and they had to wait a year to do it. It was said that Zelda 3 had a party with 3 members, which was link, a bow-welding person, and a fairy. It played more like a final fantasy game according to Miyamoto. I don't know if this is real or fake, but I'm sure we will find out.
