Wow, that old thread is terrible. I read it, and only like a few posts are about the actual topic, while the rest are a troll or random discussion, no wonder you had to start this one.
By the way, did you also get annoyed by the original trailer for Bee Movie featuring the "plan B" scene that never appeared in the actual movie? I remember seeing it on some Dreamworks DVD as a child and literally always thought it was so weird that it wasn't there, I thought something was wrong with the disc. I assume you already know about it, but since I have waited all day, I'd like to have something to say.
I was a little surprised of the “Plan B” not being in the film.
So I'd like to air on the side of scepticism when it comes to this claim; like others have said, I find it a little weird to imagine there being a leaked rough cut of this animated movie on a bootleg copy, do we have precedent for such a thing happening with animation?
That's not really lost, that's just an aspect of a common DVD release that may or may not be on Torrents.
Also, has anything come forward since these Tweets that puts any legitimacy in the claim the uncensored lines were recently "leaked?" Or is it generally assumed it's bogus?
I believe that for the first part of the episode, they were making up curse words to censor out. As it progressed, they realised that it would be more authentic if they used real swear words. As you said, it is likely nick will never release it. Also, Tom Kenny stated himself that he would like to see it.
I’ve never really studied it too much but are the characters actually animated to be saying the words or just gibberish?
For all we know it could be like certain Simpsons episodes (S8-10's-ish?) where sometimes the lip sync doesn't quite look like it's matching what's being said for whatever reason. I'm assuming because lines were changed late.
Okay so I've contacted David Fishel, cool guy by the way, and unfortunately he doesn't have any copies besides the aforementioned portfolio ones. Also apparently CH did a little bit of a dick move with the show.
Apparently David FIshel uploaded a few CollegeHumor rarities unlisted through his portfolio website a while ago. Of interest here are Hardly Working: Magazines, Phantom of the Apartment, Zoo Horn and to a lesser extent, Ghost Spiders (which is also available through on the actors' Vimeo):
Recordings of this have been online for a couple years already, but no one seemed to notice until now. Here's a VBirds Perfect advert confirming it was an interactive DDR-style dance thing where viewers could request what song the band would dance to. (12:00)
Not to Necropost but this popped up for me and this isnt lost, the whole thing is on Kimcartoon and has been there since before you made this post kimcartoon.li/Cartoon/The-Wakos
So it is! Just weird that they didn't upload those scant few episodes. Maybe it was content reasons, but this is The Wakos we're talking about. So everything's found then, as I presume Season 4 onwards just never got an English dub.
