I'll recommend the r/VHS subreddit. I've bought some VHS tapes there, including several Nickelodeon tapes. There's lots of people selling who have good standing in the community. You can ask around and see if anyone has what you're looking for.

Well, something to consider is that even though we have no evidence to suggest that Rai Rai was ever planned for a US release, we do have confirmation that the company did import games from Japan for sale here. So, they still would have to translate the title if they were planning on picking up some copies of Rai Rai to sell. In fact, I would say that the fact that it wasn't getting an official localization might help explain why the translation would be so poor.
I'm still not on #TeamMistranslation, but I'd be foolish to rule it out entirely.
I think we're at a point where little more can come from theory crafting. I'm not sure much more progress can be made without some new, hard evidence.
And not to be a sour puss, but I'm skeptical that any of the other people mentioned, like David or Gail, would be able to shine much more light on this. I certainly would love to talk to them, and ask them some questions, but at the end of the day they're still a second generation removed from Beebiss, at best. We talked to Bob and Neil, and that's about as direct as you can get.
When we spoke with Neil Levin, he confirmed that his company, Forest Hills Used Video games, would in fact import games from Japan for sale in the US. He even said he had contacts in Japan to facilitate these sales. And since it was his company that evolved in to Play It Again, (the company who ran the Beebiss ad) that would indeed lend some credibility to the "Mistranslated Japanese Game" theory. Of course, the only problem with that is the same guy also said he believes the Beebiss title was entirely made up by his partner, who had a habit for doing that very thing.
I'm not personally inclined to believe the story posted above about them selling and being familiar with Beebiss to the point of having in jokes about it. Even if it was a mistranslation, it would be unlikely that two independent game stores would translate the same title the same way, especially since the translation was so poor.
It would actually be very likely, as the other store most likely just copied the list without checking it.
Yeah, I considered that too. But for that scenario to happen, someone would not only have to copy the list without checking, but also know what game "Yeah Yeah Beebiss I" was referring to. And since it's such a poor translation, it's unlikely they they would have made that connection. It took the lost media community years to connect those two titles, and that was with the power of many people making a concerted effort with the benefit of the internet.
Game stores imported games. It wasn't that strange a practice. Just off the top of my head Joe from Game Sack on YouTube sometimes brings up stories of buying European Mega Drive games and playing them on his Genesis back in the early 90s

Through interviews with the people who ran the Beebiss ads, they told us this type of false listing was common back in the day, just to see if competitors were copying your work. But apparently the guy who made the list of games was a bit of a comedian himself, and just thought this type of thing was funny.
As much as I would like to believe it was an unreleased or unlocalized game, the evidence just doesn't support it. On the contrary, it implies the opposite, I'm sorry to say.

Was this Time Travel plot you describe the premise of the entire show, or was it the just the plot of a single episode?
Your best guess is that is was made in the 2000s, but can I assume that since you remember streaming it that your personal viewing was more recent? If so, when about do you think you saw it? What streaming services would you have had access to at that time, and what country was it viewed from? Different countries have different available options depending on region, so it'd help narrow it down a lot.
Are there any other details you can remember or provide? How many kids were there? How old were they roughly, grade school, middle school, highs school? The time machine talked, but what kind of machine was it? Was it like a car or vehicle that they rode in, a handheld tablet-like device, or something else?
Anything you can remember would help a lot, because I've been researching this all morning lol
I spent 5 years trying to find Yeah Yeah Beebiss I, only to find out it never existed. I'm glad that at least now I know, but I can't help but feel disappointed there wasn't more to it.
So, what was the deal with that by the way? Was it a copy trap like a lot of people suspected?
Well, personally I believe that, yes, all the evidence clearly points to it being an intentionally false listing. Whether it was done for potential copyright/legal reasons or just for the lulz remains unclear.
This take has proven to be controversial, though, with some people very adamantly against it. But I just don't see how you can examine what's been found and be able to draw any other conclusion. I can understand be being optimistic, hell, I hope I'm wrong too, but I think we're past the stage of rational skepticism.

Can you describe the art style? More western or more anime? CGI or hand drawn? When would you have seen it? What would be your best guess as to when it was made? Older, like the 20th century, or more modern? Was this a series, a one off, a movie? What country would you have seen it in? Was it in English, and if not, what language?
