Alright, it's been years since I've been active here, but I'm back under a different name now. And this time I need help with something that's not exactly lost, but something I can't (be arsed to) really obtain.
Among the many games Bullfrog Productions had a hand in, Theme Aquarium is probably definitely the most obscure. Until recently it wasn't really known who exactly produced it (spoilers: it's Tose, not Bullfrog). It also had a half-arsed PC release in Europe without the "Theme" branding. It's just called Aquarium here.
Either name is rather tough to research since they sound so generic. It's not hard to buy a copy of both the original Japanese release on PS1 or the European PC release (hell, the European release can be found on the Internet Archive), but the English manual is not archived online. And I already have a physical copy of the game myself so I don't really feel like buying a copy with the manual (or the extras that come with the Collector's Edition). Can someone please archive both on the Internet Archive?
(Oh and if someone feels very charitable (thank you so much), maybe they could code a little patch to get this game working on Windows 10/11 since at the moment this game only works on Win95, Win98 and maybe XP. It's optional, and I don't even know if it's appropriate to ask someone of this on this forum, I don't wanna come off as rude. I just want to play this game on Windows 10 instead of a jank Virtual Machine.)
He did say in his 100k special that he'd delete all of his old videos in the past, but I don't know if anyone can find those videos anymore since Tom's channel was really small back then. Good luck with the search.
Also, I contacted this guy called "belaboy" on Tumblr, since a .gif he made is one of the first results you get when you search FutureSplash Animator. He does have the full physical copy, though I am waiting for a response from him to see if he'll upload it.
These days, Adobe Animate, or as it used to be called, Adobe Flash, is the most popular animation tool in the world. However, it's oldest versions (a. k. a. FutureSplash Animator under FutureWave Software and Macromedia Flash 1, 2, 3 and 4 under Macromedia) were order only, as in, you had to order a physical copy of the software directly from the company. It wasn't until Macromedia Flash 5 that they started using a serial key. What that means is, is that unless you got the old copies of said software, you wouldn't be able to get a hold of the full software since nobody has ripped the .exe file online. What you can find is trial versions of the product. I personally think this software deserves to be accessible today, since it's important to the history of animation. If anybody can find info about this, maybe the full copies of the software, post it to this board.
Since you said that this cartoon aired in Tyrkey, I was pretty interested since I'm Turkish. So, when I checked the site, I expected to find a description of sorts. But all I did find was that it aired on 07:40 that day. And, even then, deciphering the broken Turkish in said site would be quite hard. But I will try to find more leads in the Turkish side...
FWIW, I was a member of The3Eds from 2008 until its closure and I very specifically remember this hoax (there were a LOT). It sprouted from some shitty Wikia and AnimatEd back then affirmatively said "this doesn't exist". He had contact with a few AKA Cartoon staff and I'd put complete weight into his word.
Word-of-mouth isn't too useful most of the time but there's no real way to debunk this.
This would also explain the passing mention of the hoax in the Earth 2 Edd forums.
