I found out a few days ago that the Fonejacker/Facejacker Special called Verry Terry was lost media so I did some brief digging and found someone had the ad break recorded of the special.
Apparently, I found out that the English version of Tennis Critters was lost media but thankfully I found a copy in a charity shop for 49p back in November thinking it would be an interesting game to own but after purchasing it I found out that the complete English version of Tennis Critters was lost and the only English version that was found was the demo version so fast forward to today and finding it, I’ve unsealed it, copied all of the files onto my steam deck, zipped it and uploaded it onto archive.org. Here’s the link to the game: archive.org/details/tennis-critters
Hi there, you might be wondering why this thread was made but I feel like this might be a deep investigation and rabbit hole to dig into. If you’re wondering why I am randomly interested about these sets of adverts let’s me give you some info. When I use to live in Bristol (ever since I was born) I always remember these little funny ads for a small shop based on selling carpets called Bristol Carpets. For some reason, the intro always gives me some good flashbacks to when my parents would drive around the area with the radio on for traffic news on GWR/Heart Bristol and it would mostly play on every ad break. Some people use to hate it but I know there’s a fare few within the city of Bristol who loved the ads. for the only found radio ads I’ve found for Bristol Carpets is this only upload when they’ve announced their new store in Shepton Mallet: youtu.be/6NRH-M38eRo. Iirc, that store opened around the 2010s and I think closed around the mid 2010s. Hopefully we could find more of these adverts. I also know that Local Musician, Kid Carpet sampled one of the ads from 2005: youtu.be/nzz4Sje3Hdg. I could try and email him to see if he still has the recording of that advert.
I just remembered this YouTube channel which was a project done by artist Kenny Irwin. Basically he would microwave stuff then he would later sell it on EBay as the “X Slug” shown here youtu.be/MLQzb51rAUw. Some of his videos are on DailyMotion but I think there’s more videos which were uploaded right up to the channels termination in 2018. I also found out that there’s also other content from him going right back to 1991 which makes him the first person to make content involving microwaving random stuff.
I know the current owner of the particular hard drive. I can’t go into detail on what’s planned regarding it but I heard some stuff about them planning something. Btw, if you’re wondering who it is, it’s not TobyR, Sudeurion, Jan or anyone who was an admin for the site. I’ve seen everything from the birth to the heart attack and cremation of Vlare.
Hi, I remember this sky one show called So you think your safe at home. They made 7 episodes including a Christmas special which that episode has been etched to my brain because there was one scene I can remember which scared me. the only thing I can find about it is the intro which is this vimeo.com/68996573 And the radio times listing www.radiotimes.com/tv-programme/e/vtxg/so-you-think-youre-safe-episode-guide/. I remember Sky showing the Christmas special around Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve at 2010.
I am trying to find episode six of TV Offal. There is some clips from the episode like the gay darleks and Kami-kaze Kara-oke but the full episode was previously on YouTube but blocked by Barry Manlow.
