Wow... I can't believe it's been exactly one year since this thread started. Though we haven't found footage yet. We've come a long way from July 21st 2017. We started with one picture and people's memories. If we wanna find footage, our best hope is someone's VHS tapes. It's clear that online footage of this show is non-existant. There's currently a YouTuber who could potentially have footage.
You guys know of Henry Nguyen? He posts a lot of old children's shows, even from the 50s and 60s it seems. Anyway, he has footage of Treehouse which he often posts bumpers. He recorded footage from Treehouse in late 2005. Which we've understood is when My Special Book aired very often. We should try contacting him. And asking him if he has any footage of the show.
Hey guys I'm back. Just saying right now, and in general. It's amazing how much information we have found out in the last 9 months. Back in July, we started out with one low-quality image and a couple recollections. As time went on, we discovered production companies, the producers and actors behind the show, air-dates, and even all 90 episode names. Even though to this date no footage has been discovered, we've come a long way.
When I first remembered this show 3 years ago. Finding ANY type of information on this show was very rare. The only source of information was people remembering the show, and one old image on a Korean blog. We've found out so much more since then.
I agree with all of you. Messing with us or not. I don't understand the purpose of going on a lost media thread, claiming you have the footage, and then disappearing. Quite a shame because I thought we definitely found a lead.
Whatever happened to the guy who said he had My Special Book on tape? That's strange how he would say that, and then never say anything about it ever again. Anyone try contacting him? I'll try contacting him.
It's a pretty blank page with not much on it. But it's something. This archive is from March 2000. It gives a short description of the show and gives an air time and episode name.
Neat stuff.
How did you find that? I mean like which archived sites did you go through to get to it? I'd like to know.
I found it through looking through web archives of YTV sites. The site I found that on was extremely glitchy and hard to navigate. So it really wasn't easy to find.
So, something I noticed was an episode by the name of "Jenny and Jim". Jennifer Racicot now goes by Jenni, which is quite similar. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but do you guys think it's possible that this could be a title mentioning Jennifer and someone else in the cast?
If you look at a lot of the other episode names "Donelle and the Worm" "Gilbert and the Rainy Day" "Sarah and the Bed Monster" etc. etc. etc.. A lot of them seem to have random names. So I'm not really sure about that. I've noticed a lot of these episode names seem to be old nursery songs or classic children's stories.
Hey, great find on the episode list! Now that we have episode names, perhaps we can find them under their individual names rather than under the title of "My Special Book".
It has logs of all Canadian Radio & Television Stations starting in August 1999. Treehouse's logs start in February 2000, but I have only been able to open starting September 2000, since I do not know how to work a .arc file.
Thank you for the link. I looked at quite a bit of the logs. And now I think I can pinpoint when this show aired and when it didn't:
1998-2000: aired on YTV Jr. as a part of their morning programming block
2001-2002: Began to air frequently on Treehouse TV.
2003-2004: My Special Book didn't air at all in 2003 on Treehouse TV. But it began to air once in a while in 2004.
2005-Mid 2006: Started airing regularly again. Multiple times a day.
After a programming change in late 2006. My Special Book no longer aired on Treehouse TV.

Hi everyone, when I was really young my mom actually recorded a bunch of treehouse shows and i remember this one being on it (My Special Book) The tape has shows like Mopatop's Shop, Wanna Play, Animal Stories, Big Comfy Couch, Franklin, the Triplets and more. If there is any way I can get this recording to you guys I would gladly do it!!
Opy. Any new updates on the tapes? You're the biggest lead we've gotten so far.
That sounds absolutely great. I hope this leads somewhere and we find footage. This has been an extremely difficult (but interesting) search. With many dead ends. If you get footage of the show I can't describe how happy I'll be. I would owe you 4 years of my life searching for it. Lol
Hey scary! whats up dude? ppl here were just wondering about the deleted youtube channel you mentioned awhile back?
Hey, it's been quite a while since I've checked this thread out again . Unfortunately I cannot remember the channel name. As it was a few years back and since it's gone now, there really isn't much I can do to find it . But hopefully this lead that we just got is the real deal. Fingers crossed. This could potentially be the biggest discovery in the 7 months this thread has been started.

It's a good start. I am in contact with a family friend that lived in Canada with small children the years that it aired. They do have a array of VHS tapes full of kids shows from the early 2000s. He does not think there is anything like this show on the tapes but he said he would check. I'll keep you posted.
That's great. Hopefully they find some footage of the show. Fingers crossed. But even if they don't. They could potentially find a lot more shows.
