That is why we need to back up all of these games before they all are permanently lost!
I have some! I have a kingdom for keflings, a world of keflings, raskull and a puzzle game, I dont know the name right now. I dont know if something like Xbox live arcade existed on the original Xbox. When yes, then all these games there would be lost forever. There maybe a chance that Microsoft re-release them on the Xbox one, but I doubt it.
OK. I know this inst lost media yet, but when the Xbox 360 live service gets discontinued eventually, all the games sold at Xbox live arcade would be called "lost media" expect the developer re-releases it on other platforms. Its just my thought.
You properly never heard of "Möbelix" As far as I know, there are no Möbelix stores outside of Austria. Thats why I write this tread in "Lesser know media" As the title says its about there ads, that I cant find anywhere on the internet. At least no videos. I could found some screenshots.,and there is a poster ad from before these ads I was talking about were made. (link). In this the "prices", The beat up numbers" looked pretty much the same then in the ads Im talking about, but Möbelixman, the guy in the blue suit with an red"X" is completely different. In the ads Im talking about,he look like this. I also remember them having TVs in front of the stores were the played them, but they no longer doing this.
I remember that these ads were animated and look really uncanny, at least to me. I remember one were the "small price", a yellow 1 000, was standing on a castle tower and the "big prices", some blue 0s were trying to get up it. The "Möblixman" was dressed up like zoro and wanted to save the "1 000" When on the the zeros attacked him, Möblixman, sliced him in 4 pics. Thats all I remember from it and the other one is about the "Big price", a blue 8 getting at a bar were Möblixman works at. Möblixman then points at a small price, witch was an yellow "7" Because of the big price being drunk he thinks the small price is a big one an takes her to his home/hotel room. We then see him waking up the next morning and realizing he slept with a small price. This one had an narrator. I could only remember him saying at the scene where the big price realized he slept with a small price. He said "And so the big price slept with a small one." or something like that. I also found one screenshots witch may be a different version, because I dont remember this scenes(link ) This may be a different ad, I remember it wrong, it has nothing to do with it, or its just some weird fanart.
OK. The first piece of Lost Media I will describe is something you properly wont know. It were Halloween bumpers on the German cartoon channel "Toggo" The bumpers aired, I think, from 2001 to 2014 All this bumpers were animated in CGI
The first bumper aired few days or weeks before Halloween between the channel´s own programming . It was tinted a dark blue color and starts with the camera showing us an owl sitting on a branch on a tree. we hear some creepy "Hoot-Hoot" it then flies to towards a Jack o'Lantern somewhat glued to a some sort of greenhouse/house with a huge window. The words "Hallo Ween" appears with the Jack o' Lantern in the middle of it. We then hear an eerie and evil sounding voice saying "Halloween"
The second bumper was again airing few days or weeks before Halloween between the channel´s own programming. its tinted in dark orange. We see the camera flying around a scarecrow with the same Jack o'lantern like last time. The camera flies close to the Jack o'Lantern and stops. The words hallo and ween appears with the Jack o'Lantern between them and we hear he same voice then before.
The next bumper aired on Halloween and it was shown when the channel cut to commercials. Its tinted in dark orange. We see a forest. We fly through the forest and to a tombstone with a Pumpkin on it. (There was properly something written on under the Pumpkin, but I cant remember what it was) at last we hear an announcer saying "Jetzt Werbung" (English: now commercials) and a three note somewhat sober jingle.
These may sound really creepy to you (or not) but these bumpers I talked about were just a bit unsettling for me. But the final one Im talking about was extremely horrific for me!
It was shown when the channel cut from commercials back to his own programming on Halloween. It was again tinted in dark orange. We first see a window with a spider moving up and down. The camera then zooms out quickly and we see a teddy bear on a rocking chair on the right and a chest on the left. Suddenly, the chest openes and we see a pumpkin staring directly at us. The teddy bear turns his head towards the pumpkin and then back We hear the same announcer then last time saying "Werbung Ende" (Englisch: commercial end) with the same somewhat sober three note jungle.
For me, The sudden appearance of this creepy looking pumpkin was too terrifying for me when I was around 9 years old. (Fun Fact: I was too scared to play any game from Bizarre Creations, because I thought Its logo will have as horrifying animation as this bumper)
Because of that I switched to Nickelodeon (or Nick how it was called back then) and they had no special Halloween bumpers. Witch I was happy about, but they had something else what was as horrific to me as this Toggo Bumper when not even worse
Do you know the Nickelodeon show "House of Anubis"? Well, I dont care much about this show. Back then I was much more into Cartoons then Live-Action shows. But the way Nick teased it was so horrific, that I stopped watching Nick for next few years. It was everywhere! It consisted of a still shot of the House of Anubis (Was it that called?) in the night. But the camera seemed to be broken, meaning the shot was soughing, was interrupted with statics and we hears all sorts of background noises this and the fact that I dont know what this was about terrified so much that I ran in my room in fear. First I thought, that I just have to only watch Nickelodeon when a show is airing. But I was death wrong. I remember watching an episode of Drake and Josh when the screen suddenly cut to black for a second and that house appear in the button left we the same animation and its sound overlapping the shows audio. And one instance I remember se a show about a carrot, when its shadow was replaced with that house!
You may be saying "this is a forum about Lost Media, not to discuss you childhood fears!" Well, here is the reason I wrote about this here. I cant find any footage or Information about anything I described here! The description I gave here were all out of my memory and I hope you cold maybe find it!
