Really sorry 'bout the necro, but Dreamfinders got mentioned in a very big video:
Unfortunately for the video though, I found the script less than a week after the video was released, along with all that other info. Maybe, just maybe, it's time to keep searching, as I haven't contacted Doug since that other email.
Also, I'm probably going to edit the Nightmare Ned article because of this video. And keep thinking about all the NSFW/L stuff we have on here.
I think that video actually prompted the initial interest in this search effort. It is too bad that it was posted before any new findings on it.
I sent Doug Williams an email about a week ago asking him a few additional questions but I never received a response from him. You might have better luck though, since you've already had successful communication.
I was thinking about doing this for a while, so maybe you could send me the questions (cuz I already have a line to him.) -Rain

Here is the email I sent him:
Hello! I'm SputnicK from the Lost Media Wiki! I wanted to thank you for sharing the script, it was a really fascinating read. I was also wondering if maybe you could answer a few more questions? Here are the ones that interested me:
A) The script depicted a very creative and interesting show set in a vibrant and colorful world. Do you know if any other scripts of the show exist? B) You said you were on the completed set. That's sound really fascinating. Can you share any details on production of the show? C) So you think it was unlikely the show ever aired. Yet there appear to be ads and rumors of its existence. Do you have any explanation for them? (and were there really three episodes slated for broadcasting?)
I find this show really fascinating, as film-making and everything Disney. If have any information to share that would be awesome Cheers, -SputnicK
IDK why he never answered. In retrospect the second question is kind of vague, I could have rephrased it. Hope you have better luck.
Okay I found a website that says 10 disney films you'll never see I know that most of you have seen this already probably but it mentioned Dreamfinder FILMS see for your self. I think the ride came firs then inspired a tv show that was cancelled then a movie was planned that also got cancelled.

So yeah, just keep going with the search, other people.

It's been a long time since I saw this, but I'm impressed with all the info we under covered (I didn't do anything for getting the info, but all who had a part it in should be congratulated). I still wonder if we can find the original episodes if they were released or not. Even so, i just hope we can find them.
I recently contacted the Walt Disney Archives about the show. They said they'll take a look but they also mentioned that there was another division in the company that I could contact about the show (perhaps to get a copy!) but I forget what division it is. Regardless, I emailed them.
Knowing how Disney handles my emails after contacting them for Breakfast with Bear, we should expect a response within about four months.

We could ask Doug about this.
Anyone remember him?

Any updates? It has been about 4 months so it about time we should have an update.

It has indeed been a while, and I have a feeling that either:
A. CaptainMedia abandoned his account.
B. Disney forgot about his email. Or...
C. Both of the above.
However, the new post did intrigue me to email Doug Williams again, which might produce some more results considering it's been MONTHS. I'll edit this post when he responds (unless this post has already fallen off of the first page by the time I get a response), for the sake of keeping up the search while not hogging the top few spaces.

I haven't been around in some time, but no. I never did get an answer.
Well, it seems dreamfinders was never produced. While its sad, the script we got from the search could be made into something great by disney or the fans. While the orginal unfinished episode may never show up, I think what we all got from the search is something to behold. Great job everyone!

I didn't even realize there was a thread for this, so I have to apologize that I hadn't come straight to the search team when I'd found out about the status of the show. That being said, you guys still did an awesome job with finding out all you did about the show!
