There are some YouTube channels, like NewsActive3 and AirchiveSloan, that upload local news broadcasts. It’s probably a stretch, but there’s a small chance that they uploaded the newscast you were in.

that could be a good lead, we just need to see if one of those channels has footage from WABITV5 at the time the report happened.
Do you know the exact month or year (or both) the report was from? I was going to try and use the Wayback Machine on WABI’s website and see if they had a video of the report.

I searched on YouTube for any funny WABITV5 reports but I just think the station is too obscure to have a single funny clip about it posted on one of those channels, even then the report most likely happened in the early 2010s which means those channels weren’t as popular as they are now and even if they were popular I’m 90% positive none of those channels ran in Maine or thought to look into Maine local news stations. Contacting POLITELY seems like the best option to me.
If it was a package (like a pre-taped report, not a live shot), they might still have it so they could play it during the original broadcast. I don’t see why they would need to keep if after all these years, but there’s still a chance they have the video.

it doesn’t seem like they wouldn’t keep it but contacting them to see if they do is one of the few ideas I’ve got right now, unless there’s a funny local news channel on YouTube that recorded or somehow got a recording of it and posted it somewhere but the video was taken down for some reason, But! I do have another idea! What if a local Maine website did an article on the event and included a link to the video, or what if the program that came to the school posted about going there on a social media or updated a website they could’ve had to mention it. I still think POLITELY asking someone who has or had a connection to the station and can either tells me they do have a private archive of their reports, don’t have an archive, or gives me the video because I’m in it. I have realized that the contacting will probably have to be done by me because I’m in the video and as someone earlier in this thread stated they might give the video to me because I’m in it.

That’s possible. If you can remember why the station was at your preschool, there might be an article on that with a video link.

like I said the most I can remember is that it was a fitness program with a mascot that (I’m pretty sure) was green, was covered in fur, had a hat, had a shirt, and something I didn’t mention is that I’m pretty sure there was a guy in a full body costume of the mascot that was there and either instructed us on what to do with some jokes thrown it, or was comic relief who did the activities alongside us, those two things he could’ve done I don’t remember, I’m just saying that’s what he could’ve done.
It’s possible that the report was done by news center Maine, but considering (I assume) they focus on Maine in general I don’t think they would’ve done a report on what a local pre school is doing. Although it is a school that gets pretty good ratings
I want to see this clip so bad! Not just because its funny, but because I love local news. I've always loved the feel of older local news, but have always been frustrated at the fact that so little is available.
