This will probably be quite hard to describe without pictures, but I am wondering if anyone here might know the identity of an Australian comic that I saw in a used magazine in 2011 or 2012.
The comic was in an Australian children's magazine in the A5 format, but I don't think that it was K-Zone or DMag. I think that it might have been Krash, just because I'm much less familiar with it compared to how familiar I am with the other two magazines.
I think that the comic's genre was a mix between slice of life and science fiction, and it definitely spanned multiple issues of whichever magazine it was in. The main characters were three teenage human girls. They were drawn in an anime-esque style and had big eyes, round heads, and no noses. One of them was blonde with blue eyes and a ponytail. As for the other two girls, I think that one of them had short brown hair and that the other had an unrealistic eye colour (because I remember a line that went something like, 'What's up with your eyes? Are they infected or something?'). I'm pretty sure that the blonde girl had an annoying personality and that the other two girls didn't like her very much.
Unfortunately, I can't truly remember what the story of the comic was about, but eventually, two more characters showed up. One of them was a short bipedal elephant-like creature who had distinctive black eyebrows and seemed to constantly have a disinterested expression on his face. The other character I think was a very short alien who was red and had a cube-shaped head, and no facial features apart from a mouth and eyes.
The elephant creature explained something important to the girls, but I have no idea what it was (the only word that he said that I can remember is, 'ecosystem'). I don't think that the red alien said anything important, but I do remember this interaction between him and the blonde girl:
Blonde girl: Um, what are you supposed to be?
Red alien: I can see your knickers.
Or something to that effect.
It's possible that the magazine that this comic was in was more teen-oriented, because another line that I can remember from the comic is, 'It's her own damn mess!'.
The magazine that I saw this comic in would have been thrown out a long time ago, and the guy who owned the magazine would have no idea what I'm talking about if I tried to describe the comic to him. So, I don't know how I could best look for this comic.
