It was heard on the Ian Camfield's XFM Rockshow around 13 years ago, and has never been identified. Shazam brings no results and Ian was contacted and did verify that at the end of recording his voice was heard but he sadly can't rememebr the name of the song or who sings it.
I can somewhat understand that song from 1984 from German radio station is unidentified but I am very baffled by the fact that much more modern song is so unknown.
It reminds of My Chemical Romance, with the pop-like post-hardcore guitar work and the vocals. It isn't but looking around the post hardcore inspired pop punk of the 2000s is where you are going to find it.

Is there any forum dedicated to pop punk where I could ask this question?
Look on wiki, there is lists of bands in certain genres. I would look into Pop/Punk, Alternative Rock, and Indie Rock. And, if it's not on there you can also go on Discogs and look. You can also try searching for those genres under different countries, like Usa, or Canada. But I'm assuming its probably American. It sounds like it would fall under one of those genres for sure though.
My guess is that this song is a demo. Perhaps a demo of a released song. This would explain the sound quality and Shazam's inability to recognize the song.
