For years now I’ve been desperately searching for a short animated film featuring a river.
I saw a small portion of it on TV probably about 7 or 8 years ago, and despite many many searches I’m no closer to finding what it was.
The animation style was similar to The Snowman from 1982. (It looked like it was drawn with colored pencils or oil pastels) and all I remember was that it seemed to be following along the river with a narrator in a stern British accent talking about the animals that lived there and what was found at different parts along the route. I remember a shot under the water of some kind of fish, then a view of a factory spewing pollution next to the river. The last shot I can remember was of a lot of busy people in a stock exchange building.
My dad at the time seemed to know what it was, but when I asked him recently he said he couldn’t remember and thought it might have been French.
Based on the style of it my guess would be it was from the 70s or 80s but honestly it could be from anytime.
If there are any more questions, please ask, sorry this isn’t much to go on but I’d really like to find out what this animation was.
